it's a gr8 movie - gd acting, gd cinematogrphy, gd direction & gd score... but it's a one-time viewing for me, so no to bd. maybe a gd making ofs featurette or price might change my mind...

Yaya, agree, unless it contains a lot of features, I only want to view the features, possible the real video taken by Aron Ralston, interview and etc, and better price, movie wise I won't re-watch.

Wah Andrew! You watched the UK version and now need to rewatch the egg-tra special version?!

I didn't watch the UK version, after I buy I just put in test the disc and every time when want to watch sure something happen need to settle, so until now I not yet watching any alien yet complete.

Picture Quality
Unbelievable how stunning the picture quality is where you hardly believe it was shooting on year 1992. It is by far the only beyond top notch quality you ever seen in any recent film transfer. The beauty and clarity deserved it 8k transfer.

The output is like you seen in real life where it surpass for the most aclaim outstanding movie - Avatar which basically mostly did in CGI, Baraka is not CGI, Baraka is real!

They is no single issue of DNR, EE or whatever technology apply, no sign of edge issue, judder, color banding, over sharpen or whatever you name it, it is not there. The only there is pure perfection transfer ever did.

Audio Quality
Even though this film without any narration, the perfect music score by Michael Stearns and featuring music by Dead Can Dance, L. Subramaniam, Ciro Hurtado, Inkuyo, Brother and David Hykes is outstanding than whatever you believe! Without them, this film is nothing.

Conclusion
The only film that beyond the edge. Top notch transfer in both PQ & AQ.

A must own for any blu-ray lover and a must seen film in your entire life at least once!

5 star for everything Baraka deserved! 10 out of 10 without any doubt! Brilliantly bravo!

Can't wait for it sequal "Samsara" which schedule to be release in unknown time on this year 2011.

yeap... baraka is definitely demo tier material... not so much a movie or documentary even... more like... a collection of moments... very trippy...

If u look closely on some scenes, u will see some EE like artifacts. This is mainly becoz of the restoration process of downsampling from 8K DI to blu ray. However, its hard to notice. Similar to some of the IMAX shots on the Dark Knight. Still this is a stellar transfer. Fantastic watch...

If u label it as a docu, then it falls xtremely short as its non narrative , u r .. like where is tis/wat is tat n tat bugs me..
But it does have very good pq.. n for tat its worth a look..
