"Activision have recruited three studios to work on the next Call of Duty title. Infinity Ward, Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software.

The LA Times report that in the wake of Infinity-gate (where Infinity Ward co-founders Jason West and Vince Zampella were fired last March), the Modern Warfare developers have been sufficiently affected enough by staff losses that extra help has been sought from Sledgehammer Games. Read on for more detals.

Sledgehammer – a studio recruited by Activision to work on a Call of Duty spin-off game – are now helping Infinity Ward out on the single-player component of their current title, which is tipped to be Modern Warfare 3 (no surprises there).

Wisconsin-based Raven Software have also been brought in to work on the multi-player element, according to the article.

This will be the first time in Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty history that aid has been sought for development on a project, with all previous Modern Warfare games being produced solely by the IW team. With the loss of many of Infinity Ward’s staff, it comes of no surprise that Activision are doing all they can to ensure that this year’s Call of Duty title is out on time, which will most likely be in November once more. However, this action will probably delay the production of Sledgehammer Games’ own Call of Duty title. "


1 thing for sure, no SG or MY server, then GG i not buying it. Unless ofcause there's super ton of fun in multiplayer or uber campaign la.

Not buying, as Raven is quite incompetent, and Sledge Hammer hasnt done any game before.

I would be more interested to know if they have servers for SEA. EVerything else doesn't matter if this isn't in place, tbh.

MW3 is interesting just it release too fast. no sea is still OK. Cod series campaign is still fun play. Mean? oh yeah will be waiting for JS version.

This News surely make Asian Player think: WTF we still haven got our server yet? and gameserver will working on MW3 or wad?

Modern warfare is an overused theme, much like how WW2 was overused back in early 2000's.

If they make something like Call of Duty: The Forgotten War (Google it), then I might consider buying it.

Sledgehammer has done nothing so far, as they are consist of a new team.And Raven, i know they have been exist for a long long time, but what significant contribution have they made? Nothing special, as far as i know.Lastly, Infinity Ward, without half of the previous executive, they are pretty much empty shell. Which is also why IW needs 2 more studios to develop MW3 because Kotick wants MW3 to be released at the end of this year, without fail.

Activision has gone too far with the CoD milking, till there isnt much to offer. Unless MW3 offer some fresh new innovations, i really dont want to buy another CoD with different skin.

I hope Battlefield 3 will crush CoD like a tin can under a tank tracks. CoD series has become so overrated. No offence.

I will probably not buy this after the massive disappointment of Black Ops. Battlefield 3 all the way!

I still playing MW since i am holding BO original copy. i tot i can play this BO whole day in CNY. disappointed.

I'll get both CoD>9000 and BF3.
I personally see BF and CoD as two seperate games and just have fun with them individually.
I play Black Ops more often though because it's fast paced, matches are quick etc, but if I have the time I'd like to play BC2 again because of the epic scale of the matches, plus vehicles etc.

But yeah, I'm not gonna waste my time picking favourites between these two awesome franchises.

You mean, you WERE a fan. I don't think I can ever forgive them for how they treated us SEA PC players.

Of course, this will all go unnoticed since XBOX and PS3 users around the world are having fun with it.

ya, the ping in BO is quite bad.
that's why I go for hardcore mode. I find it easier to frag that way.

Definitely will consider the new COD. You never know how it can be improved until u see the end-product right?

I'm starting to see a pattern here: people are raging at Blops because of lack of local dedicated servers. Let's pause for a moment and look at the PS3 side of things.
Lol but either way, MW3 better have good dedicated server support, allow people to run their own etc. Even right now playing in Australia the only people who own dedicated servers are the ones who want to run Nuketown 24/7, thus resulting on like 2 or 3 normal servers, in which are either totally full, totally empty, playing Search and Destroy(I hate that gamemode), or just have bad latency.
Servers are also crashing all the time. I'd be in there having a nice killstreak of oh say 943 when all of a sudden...

Thats why i stopped playing.

I didnt buy a game just to play one absolutely garbage map.

Well I find fun when I'm playing the other maps, it's pretty worth it imo.
I raged even more back when I played CoD4 earlier last year when everyone in Malaysia was playing Killhouse on Hardcore, flash bang city imo

I'm a HUGE fan of Infinity Ward's work. But whether anot the new IW is as good as the previous one, and the incompetence of Raven, and the uh...well.... noobieness of Sledgehammer? I guess it depends. I'll wait and see. If it's another BO, sorry lah, ori not for me.

Plus, they're prolly gonna optimize the game for consoles (yet again). So no worries on the hardware side.

MW2's teaser was pretty nice, as it felt, polished. Rather than this horribly rendered one.

The cruise missiles sounds are awful, after listening to MOH's one.

Judging by the looks of that pics and no gameplay vid from the trailers, they prolly gonna use same engine and recycle the whole thing again. Not to mention sledgehammer games and ravens soft have not produced any good games either since SOF2.

Plus, bobby kotick already announced damn COD multiplayer PREMIUM. You buy the game, then subscribe and pay more to get more content?! If this trend keeps going on, i foresee MW4, pay for bullets.

And since when that is a good thing? Like how crytek massacred crysis 2? Thank gods DICE is planning to make PC version first, first time seeing all the trailers in PC version, which is good.

Most of the 'trailers' are in fact "leak"(lol) trailers. Then again with so little time(for development) I doubt anything major would change.

More teasers. All of them feels very rushed, especially the Germany one. The building feels like it's made of Jenga or something. Concrete and steel structures dont collapse like that in real life with almost everything snap off in mid air.

well, it's not BF and given that they lost 3/4 their staff earlier, I think it's quite amazing that they could pull something like this.

Everything u see in trailer is scripted like previous series, which most of us didn't take notice when shooting at enemy anyway.

Imma get it for single player, and i doubt the story will end in MW3. I still love the fast gun blazing in single player though.

I don't know why I keep on watching the trailer, even on 720p HD, I'm not satisfied with the graphic. Maybe cause Crysis 2, Battlefield 3, Brink, Bulletstorm graphics have greatly affected me....like you can see the extra "directX 11" details in a specific terrain like the walls of the building...MW3 just looks plain without much details...no offence


But I hope the new developers for Modern Warfare 3 will make the game like Modern Warfare 1. Don't make it like Modern Warfare 2 please.


If only Modern Warfare 3 has this.....

2. Custom maps editor
3. Theater mode
4. No tactical nuke
5. Wager match
6. LAN support

Black Ops used a highly modified and enhanced WAW engine. Black Ops graphics look better than MW2 actually. If you compare Havana (Black Ops) and Invasion (Modern Warfare 2 ) multiplayer maps.

Yeap but I prefer MW2's engine better because it looks a lot better than BO(my preference )

That said me and my friend have different systems (with me using Intel while him using AMD). From our experience, Intel supports MW2's engine very well but AMD supports WAW engine a lot better.

I actually still prefer MW2's graphics, as it has a lot more details in the environment and gun designs. Not to forget some of the maps are amazingly beautiful for the rubbish Proton Wira engine it is using.

On the other hand, Black Ops, is probably the ugliest FPS game i have played past 2 years, because of the plain, boring and flat multiplayer maps with barely any other colour than black, brown, grey or green.

MW3 just look plain and old, compared to other games released this year like Crysis 2. It will still sell billions of copies. Well done, Kotick.

Hope they don't have the damn 1887.
