Ball watches discount is very controlled when U getting thru AD. best bargain pre-own or grey if U can find. 4-5K budget only can get very basic ones. something like this http://www.righttime.com/rt/ball/ballwatches.htm U could get a very nice Anonimo or Fortis with that money thru your local grey http://www.collectorstime.com/other_AD.phphttp://www.collectorstime.com/other_EH.php#Fortisor a nice Epos chrono http://watchseller.com/watov10.htmlThis post has been edited by patryn33: Feb 27 2011, 03:11 AM

Planned to get a watch.
Where can I get better rate?
I went Hour Glass at Gardens for OMEGA they're giving 10% discount but still negotiable.
Tag Heuer 20% using HSBC card and further negotiation she gave another 3%
What's the best rate you guys can get for this 2 brand? Any recommended store?

BALL iirc the discount is ~20% not shop with righttime.com b4. read around for reviews eg http://forums.watchuseek.com/f74/any-tutim...lers-22441.htmlhttp://forums.watchuseek.com/f239/ball-chr...ster-94504.html Added on February 27, 2011, 9:23 pmQUOTE(nles @ Feb 27 2011, 06:05 PM) Where can I get better rate? Omega is nuts about controlling discounts and the kind of discounts has went from 30% in early 1990s to 12% last yr. Tag Heuer u should get ~25%, if U know the sales person at times they can push it to 30%. wait for LVMH friends and family sale and they go for 50% off. in any case I rather go for a Omega. U want richemont and Frank Muller group to do that? Richemont don't have that, but Frank Muller group often have huge sales going around thru AD with discounts as steep as 70%. Rolex forget it! someone did report going on those and getting longines for 50% off. This post has been edited by patryn33: Mar 1 2011, 07:44 AM

I knew I should have followed this thread a little more closely.... would have made a good gift for the wife instead of Oris @ 30% off only.. sigh.

Not everyone comes out from the shop grabbing the 50% bargain. In watch, personal taste rules... If you got a nice Oris at 30% for the missus and she likes it, i think its a good buy.

In watch, personal taste rules... or it maybe from surplus! Swatch may have over estimated and need to get rid of them. or it maybe discontinuing the model. another source maybe due to returns! I know Asia don't have returns but some countries do. there are lots of reason how they are getting the stock. the above may not be the only reason
