since U can spark 1.5K get the regular Antea 1st. must wait till Oct 2011 to deliver.
U do not pay now.

Antea 390 and regular antea diff is blue hands, silver rotor and price diff is ~600 rm. the size is the same.

I think you are entitled to your opinion...  cool2.gif

Also, its possible ppl only pawn their rolex cos its the most in demand watch (in some asian countries). Compared with any other watches, its value "depreciates" the least, much like what a mercedes is compared with other makes. I dont think the pawn shop will gv u as much if u pawn ur AP or Zenith.
*
depending on Rolex - pawn shop also don't give U much esp its datejust or airking or explorer II white face.
if its Daytona different.
ppl are having alot of trouble selling the explorer II white face, U think pawn shop wanna give one good $$ on that?

Zenith resale value has been weak, but many ppl do get them for ~30-50% off retail. if pawn shop is basing it on typical AD discount, the percent getting from them can be still very good.
with AP, that really depends on what AP.

Budget - most important criteria - bang-for-the-buck ~ up to US $ 600

What about Christopher Ward, Hamilton?
(I'm just guessing here) Any German, Russian (Poljot?), or Chinese (Seagull, Alpha?) brands? Any idea where to get these brands from a physical store in KL?

Appreciate any suggestions on brands and models as well as retailers nod.gif
*
US$600 hard to find a Hamilton today on grey market.

try UHR.info, maybe CW since they are having a sale.

Now I must say that I am really disappointed with the bracelet clasp.
It looks and feels like a chinese made after market product.
I need to ask if some other owners of the same watch encounter the same problem?

I mean the clasp doesn't look solid, it's abit flimsy... absolutely not the kind of feel you will encounter when buying a swiss watch.
Even a seiko, tissot or victorinox watch with the same kind of deployment clasp is of better quality. When seen with the naked eye, it looks smooth and solid.
When using it, it feels sturdy and safe.
But in this case, it's like it's been spray painted with chrome but it missed the angled area. Feels flimsy when using it. It's hard to describe in words but I'm hoping the picture here can give you guys some idea of what I'm trying to say.
This is the same kind of flaw in the clasp of a watch that belong to a friend of mine which he claims is an AA+ replica of a Tag Heuer watch he bought in JB.  doh.gif
Now I'm honestly worried. My heart is beating irregularly while I'm typing this.
I dunno what to think in this point of time. rclxub.gif
I'm posting this over at MWF as well and see some replies before doing anything.

http://www.chronocentric.com/watches/graymarket.shtml
*
chronocentric is very anti grey. ashford removing serial? I not have seen any recent reports on it. My serial is present.

www.timezone.com is recommended. I wouldn't go that far. www.timezone.com isn't approving the sellers there. Collectorstime do advertise their items on timezone.com

Time Of Switzerland is a sponsor for watchnet.com, watchnet.com is pretty reputable forum and they do get good reviews there.

wanna shop with grey there is always risk. ensure they have good return policy.

chrono watches come with lume for sure.

Seiko Lume maybe better than Laco, Steinhart.

U can forget it, U are not getting any better deals than buying from them direct online.
middleman, they have operating cost and WE the consumers are paying for them!

remember photos taken for advertising is always misleading.
want the real facts get it on the watch forum with someone that actually own it.

U may wanna take a look at Epos chrono
