Hi, need some opinion on below acquisition... which will be your choice?

Diver's watch (Automatic w/o chrono)
- TAG Aquaracer
- Oris Diver

*Others brand pls recommend
*
TAG Aquaracer - ~4.2k
Oris diver - ~3.3K

diver watch on ETA movement like the above.
well marketed brand go for Sinn U1 (~5.5K), Longines (~2.4K).
well build but not well marketed go for Guinand (1.9k), ocean7 (~2K); MK2, Doxa are mode expensive some marketing.

Fortis from your local grey also good deal

Personally prefer Omega SMP or Longines Hydroconquest. Sub homages eg Steinhart Ocean 1, Epos divers are also nice.

Omega SMP Quartz looks nice also!! value for money!

I have a custom flieger style strap that is being made - I believe it will look fantastic on this watch.

when buying watch, if possible, free yourself from the budget constraint and get the piece that you really want! it's not worth it to buy something that you don't like as much as the other one just because it fits your current budget...

save up for the piece that speaks to you, trust me, it's worth the wait nod.gif

hmm.... I wouldn't really say it is value for money.
it is ETA 255.461 quartz movement, very inexpensive at ~US$89 (Omega buying in bulk maybe half the price), easy to service just change battery every 3yrs.
http://www.omegarolex.com/details/01538.html

the auto co-axle version, cannot be bought so I don't have a price tag in that. iirc it is mod 2892 which usually cost ~US$250. a mech usually has better resale value, but it cost alot more to service every 5yrs. so it is like a double edge sword in this case.

Rules of thumb is every 5 years of constant wearing.

jealousy fades away~

i went to sg wang last week because i heard there's this very good replica watch shop there. went there to look at a replica milgauss GV to compare it to mine.

the difference is quite obvious. the "ink" and markers on the dial look quite different, and their sapphire glass is not very tinted, only has the green edge.
