Yakar? aiseh man... lost on extra discounts.
Luckily i stumble upon u guys.
If not I, I will most probably drop my moolah on another overpaid piece while the AD laughs all the way to the bank...  shocking.gif
Yup, spot on... that's the one
Suddenly, I see that I can stretch my ringgit further than I thought.
My Zenith EP should be here today... will update here and MWF if I have the time after helping with my daughter's homework.  nod.gif

Never realized there were 'taobao agents' around. Perhaps I should be one biggrin.gif

Do note however that an article once stated that over 80% of items sold on taobao are fake (although I doubt there are as many fake Seagulls as the 'Swiss' branded watches)..

Hi, please guide me on getting the best place & price to buy an Seiko orange monster in bracelet and the new seiko 4r15 diver (sinn 656 look alike)
*
For the monster, do a search on eBay. Many sellers esp from SG offer it for auction, if you're lucky you may get one cheap.

Added on February 9, 2011, 12:10 amAny Frederique Constant owners around? Saw a model going for 2.7k after 30% discount, I believe it's a Persuasion Moonphase model. Good price?
Looks similar to the one in the link below but I'm not entirely sure as the price quoted seems low.

Looked up Mido on the web since there was some talk about it a few posts back. Quite impressed with the movement grade and design.

Found Mido Baroncelli Chrono going for cheap here. Website looks a bit dubious though, wonder if anyone has bought from them before?

Seems like Casio Edifice dials are getting more and more cluttered. Still loving my 535BK though.

I have had 3 watches shipped from SG and 2 from Europe, so far no problem with customs or the local post office yet. I'm keeping my fingers crossed though as I have another one on it's way with a value higher than all those combined smile.gif

Not a sifu, but I wouldn't consider a Tag if I were spending such money for a watch. This brand has mostly seen unenthusiastic response from general watch fanatics. I would go for a ML Pontos Chrono with money to spare.

But having said that, the 1887 model does look pretty nice. Buy it if you like it, it's a personal choice after all.

My 2 cents biggrin.gif

totally not worth it! I would have gotten a Zenith Defy Classic Chrono Aero from collectorstime.
full inhouse movement highbeat at 36K bps. about prestige it is viewed higher than Tag today. the packaging is sweet watch the video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=45gCUUCAgtE).
No doubt the EP is one of the more well-regarded chrono movements. I do have a question for the sifus, how is the reliability of the EP movement compared to the common ETA 7750 or it's variants? And I'd expect it would cost a lot more to service an EP compared to a 7750 ebauche (e.g. Speedy Date and SMP chrono).

I believe servicing cost for EP is higher than 7750.
Both equally realiable as they are proven along the years.

Thanks for the info. I was torn between the Zenith EP HW sold by Zeetan and a fairly new SMP Chrono being sold on one of the forums. In the end decided to go for the SMP due to the brand history and classic design. Also heard that the SMP series will be discoutinued soon. Well, it's in the mail now and I can't wait for it to arrive! biggrin.gif

Saw a few posts mentioning the SMP will be discontinued according to ADs.

But apparently it will be a revised design (bye bye wave dial).

Btw, saw a great deal at JWWatch. COSC certified Mido chrono going for SGD850.

what do you mean by profesional? professionals like lawyer or investment banker? Swatch is definitely a no-no.

Zenith Elite HW.. affordable and puts you on level playing feel with Rolex and the likes.

I wouldn't wear a Swatch to work, but gotta admit that some of their auto chrono models (movement based on Lemania caliber) look quite sporty.

Are you looking for the current or new Seamaster PO? If you don't mind buying used, I'm think there will be many up for grabs once the new PO is on sale.
Btw, what is the typical AD discount for Omega in Malaysia?

Hey guys, anyone here owns a citizen ecodrive? Any idea how much it cost roughly? Looking for something for daily use...maintenance free and not too flashy...someone recommended the eco drive and it looks quite decent after checking them out online.

Any advise or recommendation, gentlemen?
*
Eco drive, I would recommend the Nighthawk. Superb looking pilot watch with quality on par with watches costing lots more.
Think it's discontinued but you can still get them new off the bay and maybe from dealers if they still have stock.
