Hah? I thought Juventus already did buy him,is he still on loan ? If he is,we should stick him up as soon as we get him
*
Woy loan aqua to Juve till end of season, with an option to buy him at about 15m if I not mistaken. Most of us are WTF at that time, as Aquilani was just healed and start playing good football in the end of last season. The reason woy sold him? He said Aqua wasn't fit, and need playing time. He also said Juventus only wanted a permanent deal so Woy accepted.

If I were Aqua I would be pissed off by Woy who is talking a lot of crap...if you need me, just loan me enough la, don't give them an option to sign me at end of season! No wonder he say he is enjoying his time in Juve now...

And news are saying Juventus is eager to get Aquilani to bolster their midfield since he is fitting well to their system.

Well well, this is the same Woy Hodgson who sold off Roberto Carlos to Real Madrid when he was at Inter. doh.gif

Holloway mentioned that somewhere that Adam is at least worth a quarter of what Bent is. So I guess we will get him at 6 million or less. Plus he has a soft spot for Liverpool but he has to be seen as unbiased, no?  cool2.gif

I just read an article at Soccernet that Holloway wants 'want-away' Adam to show what he is really capable of to justify his price tag and fuss against MU tomorrow morning. Holloway even said if adam play well tonight then MU might snap him up. Not a good news eh for KD.

QUOTE(Petre @ Jan 25 2011, 03:42 PM)
i dont know how can we accomodate gerrard, meireles and aquaman in the same midfield. unless we play 352 or play jerat as 2nd striker behind toles. if so then suarez (if we buy) will sit on the bench? unless you are talking about jerat playing winger again... 3412 maybe?
*
Not all three can play together. maybe Gerrard-Aquilani, Gerrard-Meireles, or Meireles-Aquilani. Too many playmakers also not good. KD might use rotation system to see who can play well with who.

holloway is being an idiot. what justifies selling to MU instead? its so cler that he wants to squeeze as much as he can from us. let his wish be granted and keep a want-away player then

Meireles and Aquilani/Luca at CM while Gerrard free role? We know Gerrard will do well if he has a free role like Van Der Vaart. Gerrard playing 2nd striker position might be a good option as well since we need someone to feed good passes to Torres. The display during the last game was OK cause the midfield didn't really overpower the opposition. Liverpool has a long way to go. Suarez deal is being stalled, nothing working out for Charlie Adam and 6 days to go before transfer window closes. I hope Liverpool will make something happen soon if not use our youngsters.

unless aqua or meireles dun mind sitting on the bench, getting aqua back is not bad. considering KD actually favors a 2 striker lineup. if we were to field aqua jerat and meireles in the same side, prepare to play very narrow (again)

so Gerrard and Suarez will be the winger? I don't know about Suarez but Gerrard might not able to perform weill if play as a winger. He can play well but not the same effect as when he play more central.

He is best as CAM no doubt about that, he can distribute passes either to the left or right wing at anytime or Torres as well. He has great vision on the pitch. Use it smile.gif

Raul is similiar to Alonso but a faster version ( like Quad core vs Dual core ) which is almost a carbon copy of Gerrard.

I LUV their pinpoint passes and creative Vision thumbup.gif

From what ive seen so far, Daglish has preferance for 4-3-3. The last game he deployed the following formation:

Maxi - Torres - Kuyt

Lucas - Poulsen - Mereiles

On the ball, the 3 CMs would quickly move forward to support Torres. Off the ball, the 2 attacking forwards would tuck back and provide defensive shield for the fullbacks. I also noticed that this allowed Torres to drop deeper and initiate buildups. Very refreshing change, even when compared to Rafa's effective 4-2-3-1 formation.

With us chasing Adam, it seems more obvious now that Daglish intends to to stick to this formation by adding a more natural passer to the central mid. I like Aqualani and he can definitely play alongside the 3 CM role in the 4-3-3 formation. I really like to see where Daglish will play Gerrard. I think he will definitely play him in one of the 3 CM roles, as he has more support in the middle as opposed to 4-4-2 or 4-2-3-1. Should we get Suarez, he can definitely play as one of the 3 attacking forwards, my bet would be on the left hand side where Maxi is currently being deployed.

Plus Torres will be used to drag one of the center back out of position while Maxi to slip inside that left by the center back. Meireles, Lucas and Poulsen will take turn to go forward to provide support. Meireles will be the one who go forward often. Poulsen and Lucas to protect the back 4.

Aqua was loaned out to clear a spot for Poulsen, same reason he (R.I.P) loaned out insua for Koncdjfdhsfjsky. He (R.I.P) prefer an old-timer rather than a younger player, that's when the board and owner hired Commolli and start a young talent (long term) policy.

it's no use to replace him, when it was our midfielders whom allowing the opponent the time and space to launch a bombarding attack on our fortress... no matter how strong it is, it's still will collapse...

To be honest, I don't know why we are bidding for Adam right now when we have adequate cover in midfield.

We have Gerrard, meireles, Lucas, Poulsen, Shelvey and even Spearing.

No point paying too much for someone who is out of contract soon.

Im not saying he's going to be the new Xabi but his passing ability is quite amazing. Torres have been starved for service for quite sometime now, i think Adam can provide that service. I think he will be even better player under Daglish and for having players like Meireles and Gerrard around him. At the age of 25 and at the right price, i think it would be a good investment.

Here's a snippet of him.
