errr...what?

Just because Blackpool beat us twice, we should change our thread name huh. Then MU should change their thread name too in 2008/2009 since we did beat them twice as well. Stupid troll    wink.gif

Not just that, we beat them 4 - 1 at Old Trafford smile.gif

Amazing skills from Suso. First time watching him play. I gotta say he's a little like Messi, ball is stuck to his feet. Great control of the ball, has good vision. He'll make a good winger or AM. Eagerly awaiting for his debut. This are the type of players we need in Liverpool.

i hope suso can be on the bench during our away game with wolve this saturday.. thank you king kenny!!

Hopefully, not only will he be on the bench but be a super sub and eventually play regular first team football. I agree he needs to buff up a bit cause it ain't like in the reserves team football no more. It's going to be physical and harsh on him since he's small in size but I believe he's got what it takes to be on the first team. Feeling nostalgic, seeing a young player from Liverpool playing so well, almost like when Owen and Gerrard made it to Melwood.

suarez wants join LIV mainly bcoz he wants to play alongside torres ..
there's also rumours KD linked with downing, maybe bcoz we dont have any natural left winger, maxi is not up to standard ...
*
Maxi is ok actually, he moves from left wing to the 'hole' position to assist in attacks and he's always in the penalty box to try score goals. If we were to replace, I'd say Dirk Kyut. He has the stamina of a horse but even with that, his performance has been lacking. The only reason Liverpool put Kyut at RW is to help defend the RB position. We need some new faces and new attacking options. Joe Cole has been a MAJOR let down this season. I was all hype-d up about him and thought he'd be raining crosses and passing for Torres but dammit we really need someone at RW!

He will be missed but it would be the best thing to do letting him go because we are wasting his talents and hopefully he'll be able to prove himself a world class player.

I don't know whether Suarez is suitable for Liverpool, but hope he can adapt the EPL playing style and control his temper if he really move to Reds.
*
Not gonna have high hopes for this guy. We've had many signings this season and many has unproven themselves worthy 'enough' to help our team's crisis. Just something of a caution cause it was almost similar when Joe Cole signed for us and in the end didn't deliver nuts. I hope I'm wrong about doubting Suarez if he does come to Liverpool.

I've never seen us play 4-3-3 before. 4-3-3 formation you can switch to 4-5-1 at anytime needed.

Meireles and Aquilani/Luca at CM while Gerrard free role? We know Gerrard will do well if he has a free role like Van Der Vaart. Gerrard playing 2nd striker position might be a good option as well since we need someone to feed good passes to Torres. The display during the last game was OK cause the midfield didn't really overpower the opposition. Liverpool has a long way to go. Suarez deal is being stalled, nothing working out for Charlie Adam and 6 days to go before transfer window closes. I hope Liverpool will make something happen soon if not use our youngsters.

so Gerrard and Suarez will be the winger? I don't know about Suarez but Gerrard might not able to perform weill if play as a winger. He can play well but not the same effect as when he play more central.
*
He is best as CAM no doubt about that, he can distribute passes either to the left or right wing at anytime or Torres as well. He has great vision on the pitch. Use it smile.gif

QUOTE(kazuki85 @ Jan 26 2011, 09:39 AM)
Maybe we could sign a new player or two this season, but there is not complete MUST that we sign a new player. Everybody is playing well under Kenny Dalglish so far, and even the likes of Spearing and Kelly is getting their chances. Remember that he still havent get Joe Cole and Ngog playing much yet, especially Joe Cole. Suso and Coady also was upgraded to play with the seniors.

Maybe our owners want to emulate Arsenal/Barca way by pushing up their youth ranks first? Maybe Comolli was told to buy players at a discount, but if there is no discount then just leave it? Only they know, we fans can only guess...
*
The new owners made it clear that they want to emulate Arsenal's style. Either we buy cheap and build them or we generate players from our youth academy. Arsene Wenger has good sense in managing his football team, He believes the future of the football club is based on the youths today. Instead of splashing out cash on players who might not even worth their money when they arrive. Like Joe Cole who was a big hype and anticipation for all of us but didn't deliver at all. We got lucky he was a free agent. If we don't get any new players this transfer window considering there's only 5 days left, it's ok, we generate our own players and turn them into key players. Make use of what we have now instead of moaning about what we don't have. There are many players in Liverpool, there's bound to be one that will fill whatever position that's vacant.

I've always loved the way Gerrard play. The ability to read a strikers movement, the darting forward runs, running back to defend quickly and then counter attacking quickly. Don't judge him by one match cause he has contributed too much for the team for more than 10 years. See how he plays in the next game. Now we have headaches at midfield, which is a good thing also considering some players don't mind being substitutes. Just need to position the players where they play best and with rhythm.

We all love Torres, he's contributed a lot to the team. Given 110% on the pitch. If he decides to leave now, so be it. But when he leaves, we need a replacement for him. Ngog is not enough honestly, a proven player is needed. I'm wondering if Torres does leave, how will it affect our other key players like Gerrard and Reina. Will they think about leaving the club or will they push on forward. It's funny, not long ago Torres said he will honour the contract. Chelsea may still be playing 'good' football now but I see that age is catching up to their players and we are already seeing signs of that. You can say Torres will be a replacement for Drogba or Anelka but you also have to see that many of the key players there might not be playing 'good' football next season and Torres might regret the very decision he made today.
