We have Torres, Ngog, Babel, Cole, Jova, Kuyt in attacking department, so would prefer to spent a lot of money on a strong aggressive ball winning defensive midfielder... Poulsen or Lucas are too soft and slow to play that role. Our defenses are over exposed and forced to make a lot of mistakes.

he sacrificed himself for the team, and it wasn't his fault when the opponent missed the penalty... he's a good player.

Villa signed Bent for £24m, they are strengthening their attack, I can't see them letting A. Young to leave unless for a crazy amount of money....

Our defenses start to crumble apart since the departure of Hyypia... he's not having much of playing time but his experiences and leadership as senior defender in training ground is a huge loss. That's is why both Rafa and Hodgson offered him a coaching role's contract. Unfortunately he refused, cos he still want to play... the departure of Masch later, makes thing worst. Our weaken defenses is now over exposed.. like I've been saying a thousand times earlier, we need a ball winner midfielder, a link between attack and defense. If there's no one in the market, maybe, just maybe, we could convert Kuyt to play that role, I bet he can chased down the opponents all day long... what Lucas 'the statue' failed to do... yet.

QUOTE(kazuki85 @ Jan 25 2011, 03:51 PM)
Woy loan aqua to Juve till end of season, with an option to buy him at about 15m if I not mistaken. Most of us are WTF at that time, as Aquilani was just healed and start playing good football in the end of last season. The reason woy sold him? He said Aqua wasn't fit, and need playing time. He also said Juventus only wanted a permanent deal so Woy accepted.

If I were Aqua I would be pissed off by Woy who is talking a lot of crap...if you need me, just loan me enough la, don't give them an option to sign me at end of season! No wonder he say he is enjoying his time in Juve now...

And news are saying Juventus is eager to get Aquilani to bolster their midfield since he is fitting well to their system.

Well well, this is the same Woy Hodgson who sold off Roberto Carlos to Real Madrid when he was at Inter. doh.gif

Aqua was loaned out to clear a spot for Poulsen, same reason he (R.I.P) loaned out insua for Koncdjfdhsfjsky. He (R.I.P) prefer an old-timer rather than a younger player, that's when the board and owner hired Commolli and start a young talent (long term) policy.

Perhaps this the only bad orange in our Team now, If he  played faster and sharper we would hav been in Top 6 rite now mad.gif  vmad.gif

it's no use to replace him, when it was our midfielders whom allowing the opponent the time and space to launch a bombarding attack on our fortress... no matter how strong it is, it's still will collapse...

the thing i see from adam is the next alonso, which liverpool severely lacking now. lucas ain't alonso, aquilani too, lucas very good in stealing the ball but unable to keep good posession which lasts for 30-50 passes.

*
I thought that is Lucas main weakness, his tackling is very poor due to his inability to read the game and predicting the opponents movement, conceded fouls in up to 80% of every challenge he made. If his passing also poor then what is actually he's good at?

P/S: Babel, YNWA!!

we should just sell lucas, seriously, maybe 81m pound to real madrid.

dude, the last game raul managed to run up and down safely is because lucas was *kinda* protecting the back four, and at the same time doing poulsen's job!
*
the way i see it, since departure of Masch, our defenses are over exposed due to lack of protection from our defensive midfielders (mostly Lucas). how many games did we finish with a clean sheet?? Poulsen might be worse but he only made a few appearances so far so the blame must go to Lucas. just my 2cent thou...

I remember Pantsil vs Torres clash before, don't remember when, but this guy has a serious problem against us... maybe he's diouf's BFF.

Babel is not going to any other EPL club, he's a true RED. Torres said the same thing before, that Liverpool will be the only his English club, so I'm a bit surprise with the latest rumours.. if it's really true.

If Suarez is valued 20M and Adam is 10M, Even Atletico did not hesitate to rejects a lucrative 40M bid for Aguero, then Torres should be no less than 50M... after all Chelsea is sooo desperate to find a striker.

Exactly. Havent we learned anything ? We threw Insua and Lucas into the deep end and it nearly cost them their Liverpool careers. If Torres goes, we need to find another stellar striker, theres is no ifs or buts. We failed to replace Hypia, Alonso and Masc, and have struggled to no ends. We still havent found adequate replacements for all those players and now we're thinking of offloading Torres ? Can we stop digging the hole any deeper ffs.
*
Alonso, Masch and Hyypia 'left' the club, not 'sold'... we're not even thinking of offloading Torres, the club have rejected Chelsea's offer and stated that he's not for sale.. but rumors suggesting Torres want the club to negotiate with Chelsea...

Yuto Nagatomo - Japan Left back, impressed me a lot. Quick, aggressive, great in both defensive and attacking, still young (24) and might be cheap... just what we're needed.

Torres, if you choose the wrong path then you'll be walking alone.

Remember, last time we won a trophy, Torres wasn't here yet, I believe with 50m of Chelvski oil money, we can built a stronger team... Si if he do leave, then I'd say thank you Torres!

If Torres is no-one before came here, we wouldn't have to break the club transfer record to sign him, he wouldn't be Atletico's captain at the age of 19 and all the big guns will not be fighting over his signature back then. So, I'm not going to say that we make him what he is now, but we did give him a higher stage to to show his class. Luckily, we have Rafa and his Spanish friends at that time to persuade him to come and promise him trophies - a lot of trophies.
