Liverpool have already made offer for Anderlecht whiz Lukaku

Liverpool have already made a bid for Anderlecht starlet Romelu Lukaku.

Anderlecht's president has already declared he expects the teen to move to England.

Liverpool originally presented an offer that would reach €23 million including add-on payments for appearances at club and international level, according to reports. It is now understood that the Belgian champions want a fee in the region of £25 million.

An attacking foil for Fernando Torres is thought to be the priority for the Merseysiders, and Liverpool have money to spend following the arrival of NESV as the new owners at the end of the summer.

I've never seen us play 4-3-3 before. 4-3-3 formation you can switch to 4-5-1 at anytime needed.

QUOTE(madmoz @ Jan 19 2011, 10:21 AM)
Honestly, I cannot seem to accept the fact that we are selling Babel and at the same time are keeping folks like that Jovanovic, Poulsen, Cole and even to a certain extent Maxi and Kuyt on the payroll...

I suppose those lot are old timers waaaay pass their sell by date whereas Babel is young enough to warrant a gamble sad.gif

I think Konchesky and Kyriakos should also be sold, but then again we are pretty thin at the back... sigh.
*
might as well keep them and sell them during summer transfer window.

QUOTE(Petre @ Jan 19 2011, 11:21 AM)
dont play joe cole as a winger, play him alongside gerrard, just behind torres
*
two attacking midfielders? won't work. Gerrard might have to drop and play only in the middle of the field while Cole control the strings.

i guess the managers don't prefer that kind of formation.

bad education by rafa perhaps the reason why he is not what we all expect of him

babel had some skills but not a (proper) footballers brain/awareness (unfortunately). He over overdoes sometimes & if any comparison to aquilani, he's only half of the former technical awareness.

thanks for the fun tweets. too bad some pucks dont see the humour in it.

Suddenly Liverpool become very active in the transfer market, don't know whether this is a good sign or a bad sign. Really hope King Kenny can get those talented player and help Liverpool back to good form and fight for the Champions League place for next year.

Has Babel signed the new contract with Hoffenheim? Thought it is just a bid accepted and Babel did said that he would rather get loaned out only.

Still hoping Aquilani will be back soon and does not get signed off permanently to Juventus - we should give him a chance before anyone jumps to a conclusion about him.

Wolves boss Mick McCarthy looks set to win the race to sign Barnsley midfielder Adam Hammill.

The Mirror reports that Hammill could join Wolves in a bargain £500,000 deal today.

There has been late interest from the 22-year-old's old club Liverpool, but Hammill looks set to join Wolves.

New Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish had scouts watch the midfielder in action for Barnsley last weekend.

Aquilani probably wont be back, Juventus has the the option to sign him up provided if they stump up the money agreed in the pre-loan arrangement which I heard is 10M pounds, unless of course Aquilani wants to be back,

As for Babel, eventhough there's no word of him confirmed leaving, Its kinda sad to see him being ushered out of the club to be frank, not one of the best performers without being overly sentimental Im kinda attached to him. Never really got a fair whip of the crack like other players, such a prospect in the first season. Partly the blame should be shouldered by the club for not nurturing a talent like him, another player's career ruined potentially by the club.

Ill be waiting him closely in Hoffenheim, if any player deserves a break that is Babel.

Go and get your career back on track Babel! You'll Never Walk Alone!
