hi, may i know how to add chinese language for JPY 2.2.1?

ok guys, im done for tonight. bought my galaxy S, flashed to XXJPY, installed darkys 8. and few languages. now i need to get some good cover for it.

Supercurio released Voodoo sound app on market. He's working on Voodoo kernel that would work with Voodoo sound. Hope it's coming very soon.

my best way is, flash to Speedmod kernel ... download Darky's v8 wipe version ...install through CWM (speedmod kernel have cwm integrated) .. viola!

go market, search for google pinyin ... once installed go into Settings, Text menu, check the tick box beside google pinyin .. viola! u can now use chinese input ...

u didnt even take time to test out and do some self benchmark on official firmware? ... know some of the basics 1st ma ...

eagerly waiting for it.. hehe ... wonder wats the difference with hardcore's sound/voice settings ...

According to supercurio, it detects surrounding noise and adjusts mic gain automatically unlike speedmod, which is a quick fix. Also, it boosts FM radio bass. I like that cos I hate the sharp treble on my radio. Some other sound tweaks possibly a higher sample rate and such.

FYI, this version doesn't fix distortion of sound during recording using mic.

What is the impact if I remain my product code at XEE and just add APN? (Besides warranty issue)

You can change your product code @ *#272*imei#. Doing so will wipe your data. Product code is for Kies to detect your region for updates.

Download SGS Tools. You can upgrade to touchwiz gtg from there.

Hmm...DXJPE update...any good guys? Been experiencing faster speeds than the earlier version of Froyo...but maybe that's just my perception...what do you guys think?

would it be compulsory to subscribe to data plan to use sgs? i'm a bit reluctant to switch my package now since most of the places i went to usually have free wifi..would there be data transfer going in the background whilst using this phone that might get me charged w/o realizing it?

NO, it is not compulsory to have data plan..me myself using it without any data plan..if u scare overcharge bill, get digi plan..

yes there is, if you facebook widgets and updates, emails syncing, weather updates, location enable, etc etc... However you can always stop all the background data transfer in the settings.

So, nope, it is not compulsory to subscribe data plan but better to have one coz if you use data without data plan, don't be surprise if you get a big bomb at the end of the month from your telco...

Btw, I am using 500Mb plan and every month I only use 100Mb to 200Mb still even though I am at wifi spot 80% of the time.

Nope...it's not necessary...I'm not on a data plan right now and I only use data as and when I feel like. You can actually turn off your data mode on the SGS (if ur in Froyo) by holding the off/on button (on the right of the screen) till a menu pops up...you can select data network activated/deactivated from there. However, this may affect u receiving mms...so u probably wanna download an APN app like APNdroid which can turn off ur data yet still receive MMS. Hope this helps. (btw APNdroid has suspiciously stopped working for me...wonder if anyone else has faced this)

Never get to try DXJPE, my lappy went to factory so cannot update with Kies. Now flash to Darky V8 with CWM. I think @mengsuan already give a review of DXJPE in V11 - summary: nothing different..

Added on January 11, 2011, 10:56 amAlternative way, you can off the data but still on the mms by going to settings>wireless network>mobile networks>access point name>[telco]>apn type>[choose mms ONLY].
