What is this lockscreen problem with Darky V8? I don't understand. Seems like many complain about this in XDA.

I m not sure. Didn't encounter any wallpaper problem so far..

guys, anyone managed to transfer his contacts from Nokia 5800 to sgs?

try changing lockscreen wallpaper other than Samsung default's lockscreen

Yes. Previously on 5800XM, I synced all my contacts to my Outlook client on the computer. Then I exported from Outlook into a CSV file, and imported the CSV into my Google Contacts database. Finally, sync SGS phone to my Google account (Contacts, Calendar, Gmail sync).

thought it had to do something with outlook. aight. ill try doing it tomorrow or tonight.

There may be an option to export contacts from the 5800 to some VCF or other format and import that directly into the SGS, but I haven't tried this one. Have been syncing with Outlook since my S60v1, PalmOS5 and WM5-6 days..

not the homescreen wallpaper.. the lockscreen wallpaper one..
go to setting > display > wallpaper > lock screen wallpaper

Once you sync with Outlook using the Nokia; isn't it possible just to sync all your contacts into your SGS from outlook using Kies?

KIES 2.0 doesn't identify our SGS?

Never installed Kies before, don't like it. I've seen the screenshots of the app, very flashy UI, but seems somewhat bloated (like itunes, that piece of sh1t) and I'm a bit old school in this respect, I kinda miss the simple and light WM activesync and Palm sync tools of the old days..

after u installed Darky v8.0 there's a folder in ur sdcard. Android keyboard I think.. forgot the exact name.. install the apk in it. there u go
