u'll get ext4 when you apply lagfix to your phone, but to play it safe, stay with rfs as there are some reports saying that lagfixes(ext4) can corrupt the system in the phone. correct me if im wrong.

any source?? I don't think ext4 will corrupt the system hmm.gif If so, how abt Nexus S??

Go to /dbdata/databases/xxx, xxx = search for simi clock folder. it will be named differently sometimes, open folder and delete any preferences.xml files.

ext4 is safe and reliable because it has journaling system, unlike ext2.

So, in CWM, under Advanced SpeedMod ULK features

- LAGFIX option
- Disable lagfix : Convert DATA to RFS
- Enable lagfix : Convert DATA to Ext 4
- Convert System
- Advanced custom conversion options
- Ext4 mount options
+++++Go Back+++++

just select the bold option right?just that?

hey guys..

got my Galaxy S a week ago.. 2 days ago ran OCLF and was amazed by the results (2000+ on Quadrant). 5 minutes ago installed Darky's ROM 8.0.. without lagfix im getting 1083, however it seem much more fluid and responsive. any other stuff you guys reccomend to do? wanna make those iphone 4 scumbag weep.

just a reminder to those who want to use Darky's ROM, you will probably need to set ur APN manually to get 3G network connection, so dont panick if ur not getting any network after reboot.

In froyo 2.2.1 xxjpy, it seem smooth even running with rfs. is it recommended to use ext4? How about comparing their battery life? Ext4 seem draining battery?

You can try for few days with rfs. If you feel laggy, you can try apply ext4 if necessary. I dont feel any batt drainage on ext4
