Your chip seems to be a lot better than mine biggrin.gif For 4.7Ghz, I need 1.4XX Vcore to make it stable. Anyway, I'll just stress it to hell and if it dies, I'll make it as a key chain laugh.gif So long for a crap piece of chip!

batch hunting think malaysia no luck this time

true can buy overseas but from past experience hard to resell later and also that is not guaranteed either

hopefully we will get better luck during the 6 core above on sandy etc
we were lucky on getting quite good 920's

I've read that Prime95 is the best tool to stress Sandy Bridge CPU's. In my case, Prime could pass for hours but still it is unstable sometimes, lol. I'm not sure what's happening. Any ideas?

My chip is a voltage sucker biggrin.gif Although it could do 4.7Ghz but it needs massive Vcore. Sad!

dunno bro, I usually after stress test, will try to game with the system, if no BSOD, then its stable enough for me. Usually if its not stable, when playing COD:zombies online, when lot of zombie, it will go bsod. laugh.gif and I become a leaver sad.gif

Havent try cstkl1 method though, which is playing dota on a pendrive. Will try it out soon...

I play COD Black Ops multiplayer, Civillization 5 and DOTA these days. I'm not sure but it looks like Prime/LinX can't conclude if the chip is really stable because we can pass the test for hours and it still crashes sometimes, lol.

These new Sandybridge seem like very good processor choices for 24/7 usage tongue.gif

My Maximus will return as B3 tomorow hehe..
Old B2 suffered from dead IME part causing BCLK refused to clock above 100. Quality issues.

I had it run overnight with Prime95 Blend yesterday. It was 6 hours plus of stress and didn't crash. However when I was surfing the net, my PC hung, LOL. No ideas why but I will test further to see why is that. Board is ASUS Maximus 4 Extreme B3 with latest BIOS.
