QUOTE(PenzoilGuy @ Feb 15 2011, 02:42 AM) guys sorry for the noob question..is there any prob to simply change sata2 port (defect ones) to sata3 port under raid 0 config? do i need to reformat or it will auto detect raid 0 config? on asus p8p67 pro mobo I do not encounter any problem swapping Raid 0 config from Sata 2 intel ports to Sata 3 intel ports on Asus P8P67 Pro...doing raid 0 on 2 500GB HDD.. thanks in advances... It just detect it as Raid 0 without reformat or reconfigure... But to be on the safe side, just do back up... |

Could be bios issue as old bios on specific drive in which raid manager could detect my raided SSDs. But im not alone with this problem. It just detect it as Raid 0 without reformat or reconfigure... QUOTE(kakisemut @ Feb 16 2011, 02:57 PM) Dont get confused with the SATA3 flaw issue recently.Mobo is the problematic part, not the Sandy Bridge proc. But if u think newer batch of proc is better than the old batch, u r wrong as there's no such a thing. No one can really tell u which batch is good n evil etc.. |

Yes, it is indeed an issue with the latest bios raid config not detected on Sata 3 ports...There is a few talk/discussion regarding this issue mostly Asus boards around other forums as well... |

they're creating a newer chipset with b2 rev iinm .
to counter the current problem heard old mobo will be called back even those that bought by ppl . dunno how they're going to implement this thing . really gonna cost a lot to retrench everything |

whenever a manufacturer revised a mobo, they will print a revision number on the mobo. can identify thru CPU-Z and mobo box label as well.

is it possible to get 4.5ghz ht on for 2600k on giga ud3 ?
just push the VCCIO and VCCSA to 1.2v and PLL to 1.8 ? then start fine tuning the vCore and PLL to its optimum voltage ? |

u do not need to push vccio and vccsa to such high lvl unless u r gonna clock bclk and ram, setting auto and do only vcore multiplier and u r set as 4.5 is a piece of cake on sandy bridge.
