QUOTE(selfdz87 @ Jun 4 2011, 09:17 PM) my 1st attempt on sb well done bro.izit my cpu voltage is too high for 4.5ghz guys?? n i think the GFlops kinda low... I've seen a lot of 4.5GHz at 1.25v-1.3v but depends on chip though. urs should be just another dud chip but good temps Gflops is correct on vanilla win7; SP1 is 100+ Gflops and much more stressful than the vanilla. Added on June 4, 2011, 9:44 pm QUOTE(ukimaro @ Jun 4 2011, 08:34 PM) oh i thought it will have improvements like 5c . i expect to have improvements from this paste since b4 i was using the stock paste.. dont expect much from TIM replacement it will be more or less in 2-3C difference only.2-3C improvement is already meaningful for me. QUOTE(jeff88rey @ Jun 7 2011, 11:18 AM) yeah bro thanks,im quite happy with the result... Costa Rica chip not bad at all.... QUOTE(owikh84 @ Jun 7 2011, 12:08 PM) SP1 require more voltage at same clock speed or not bro? i mean SP1 stress all core more than SP0 right... QUOTE(selfdz87 @ Jun 7 2011, 06:55 PM) 4.9ghz@1.37v can consider good chip already bro... no wonder the temp was so good! btw im using custom water cooling...u can refer my sig... i'm using the noctua d14 and it's sucking the heat from my GPU.. still figuring out either to adjust the heatsink air intake or just get wc.. now settling at stable 4.7ghz @ 1.368v |

QUOTE(selfdz87 @ Jun 7 2011, 04:29 PM) yeah bro thanks,im quite happy with the result... AVX is enabled in SP1 thus AVX based software ie LinX will fully utilize SB cores thus releasing more heat and suck more voltage. Costa Rica chip not bad at all.... SP1 require more voltage at same clock speed or not bro? i mean SP1 stress all core more than SP0 right... |
