now i know... it's my easy tune problem...

everytime i opened my easy tune,
the multiplier went down form x45 to x 34... why is that? hahah.
Now it solved... unless i open easy tune again. haha.. i think so.

Why you didn't Enable LLC?
Not performance RAM you can set QPI/VTT and SAV on AUTO.

Lol.. i enabled LLC at bios.. but i need to do anything at easytune? Sorry i didn't know about these things. ahah.
I read the glossary at post#1 i thought that everyone has to change the qtt/sav haha.. doh.gif
i'm wrong again.
so, i should cancel my prime now and restart again eh?

anyway, is this ram ok?G SKILL TRIDENT DDR3-2133 PC3 17066 4GB KIT ([TDS] F3-17066CL9D-4GBTDS ) = RM699

If LLC is Enabled in the BIOS it's OK (ET6 show Default).
Your memory need only Auto in QPI/VTT and SAV.
For testing in prime you decide.
RM699 are to expensive.Contact Owikh84 or DDR3 2133 kit you can found for RM500 or less in garage sales.

When I tried to OC to 4.7ghz with 1.4v , the dr. debugger showed code "70" , which is south bridge dxe initialization is started . what does this mean ? insufficient vcore ?

I don't think you need to increase your VTT. Instead, try upping the Vcore a bit more and it should help. There are also 2 options on how the Vcore can be managed and it's either Offset of Fixed Voltage mode. I presume you're on Fixed Voltage?

If you're into high memory clocks, 8GB module or some interesting memory wonders then it might help smile.gif In his case, I don't think it helps because he's on a 1333 4GB module. In my case, the VTT doesn't help either smile.gif BCLK is at 100.1Mhz

lol.. where to checkk this?

Added on May 20, 2011, 8:08 pmI already chenged the VTT and the SAV to auto...

May i know whether this RAM is ok enough? lol laugh.gif
http://www.memoryc.com/computermemory/ddr3...ualchannel.html

oh... anyway, just wanna ask, i read that the performance RAM is only for benchmarking...
we will not realised the minute difference on performance.. is that true?
I mean, if it is, might as well i buy 1 8GB DDR3 1600Mhz
or 1333Mhz instead?

thanks guys~!!

Added on May 20, 2011, 10:22 pmsorry.. just googled... and saw the FSB:RAM ratio.... laugh.gif

Meaning.. currently my multiplier is x45... i need to find at least 2133Mhz/2*45 = 4.7Ghz? right? hehe..

correct me if i'm wrong ya?

These are synthetic load tests which differs from our daily real world usage. If you pass Prime95, you might fail LinX (or vice versa) these days. What I normally do is just run an hour or two then start playing games, etc. If it doesn't crash or blue screen, you're good to go. What matters is the usability of the PC daily, not cranking up the Vcore just to satisfy an 8 hour Prime test smile.gif It's still a good tool to test because by doing an hour or two, chances of failing is a lot lesser.

Yes, if you can fold and game then it's sufficient. Sometimes you can do all your daily task without problems at a lower Vcore but when you prime, it might fail. Prime is good as a tool to check for instability but no point pumping up voltages just to get it passed for long hours smile.gif

I'm on 580 SLI now and I have the same problem. One of the cards doesn't downclock, lol. I guess it's the driver or hardware like you said biggrin.gif my Dragon Age 2 doesn't improve even with SLI. Some driver crap problem and I'm still finding out.

hey clawhammer, Arctic Xtreme Plus 2, you stilll have this one?
hehehe.. laugh.gif

Oh, as i was asking... i might want to buy ddr3 2133mhz but would it make any difference if i buy a ddr3 1600mhz? I just wanna know, that we wouldn't feel any difference in playing games or etc right? it's just the benchamrking and maybe overclock ur cpu more? hehe.

thanks~!
