QUOTE(clawhammer @ May 21 2011, 02:01 AM) These are synthetic load tests which differs from our daily real world usage. If you pass Prime95, you might fail LinX (or vice versa) these days. What I normally do is just run an hour or two then start playing games, etc. If it doesn't crash or blue screen, you're good to go. What matters is the usability of the PC daily, not cranking up the Vcore just to satisfy an 8 hour Prime test ah ic .. which mean if i run folding 6 hours or more w/o bsod or auto shut down , then shud be good to go rite ?btw claw u already get ur 2nd gtx570 ? QUOTE(clawhammer @ May 21 2011, 03:59 AM) Yes, if you can fold and game then it's sufficient. Sometimes you can do all your daily task without problems at a lower Vcore but when you prime, it might fail. Prime is good as a tool to check for instability but no point pumping up voltages just to get it passed for long hours oo ic .. this is not good , my 2nd card stay at 55'c w/o air cond , soon i will get wc kit from u as im funding for it now ^^I'm on 580 SLI now and I have the same problem. One of the cards doesn't downclock, lol. I guess it's the driver or hardware like you said @ashraful as i remember some1 said b4 here , we hardly feel the different on daily usage for 1333 , 1600 or 2133 mhz . u only will see different in benchmarking . |

QUOTE(ashraful @ May 26 2011, 06:06 PM) currently, i'm doing 4.7Ghz at 1.365vcore try this it might work for u ,trying to do 4.8Ghz, always fail prime (hardware failure) even i tried up the vcore until 1.4v. haha.. do i have to tweak the ram too? hehe.. thanks~! load line calibration = 100% vrm fixed frequency mode = 400khz digi + vrm phase control = extreme digi + vrm pwm mode = extreme vcore = 1.415 CPU PLL = 1.8 this is a few setting u need to set , u cant let all the setting to auto . |
