I suggest that a list of screening/gathering/viewing venues to be posted on the 1st post as easy reference.

if Phillipines can let Indonesia beat them with only 1 goal each at GBK, why cant we do the same, or better? our players are just as strong, if not stronger. and mentality wise, our players have seen so much, from the SEA Games tournament to the 5-1 thrashing earlier on, but the team still come back and give a sounding performance. I have full confidence that our player wont just let it go this time, in fact all this roughness in hospitality might prove to be the tonic the players need, to prove the indonesians wrong!

well, if they cant control their fans, or if their fans get out of hand, i believe AFF will do something about this. if the game is terribly disrupted until the referee had to call off the game, then either the game will be replayed at neutral ground or end up us winning the game by default. not a pretty win, but hey...it all depends on indon fans right. of course, the safety of our players and fans are also in danger. so we can just pray they are protected from harm

Guys, I am Indonesian and just wanna give update on how things are here
situation is worsening, most stupid Indonesian (the retard one, which is 90% of the football fans here) are shouting hate messages to Malaysian everyday. some even went far and insulted blatantly. I heard there are 500 Malaysian who are going to come to Jakarta and watch the match? PLEASE DON'T COME It's dangerous! I honestly feel sure there will be riot or chaos if Malaysia win the AFF. Don't be surprised if somebody burn Malaysian flag etc. I hope Malaysia win though, I am really sick hearing those stupid Indonesian twittering hate messages against Malaysia every hour !! My prayer and heart goes to Malaysia, you guys showed hospitality to our visiting fans in Jalil Hill. My friend and a local paper reported that at the airport they were asked to photo by some MY Fans, even at Bukit Jalil some MY fans ate together and took some pictures together before and after the match. I feel really ashamed because indonesian supporters threw bottles to 30 Malay fans on the 1st match @ Jakarta that they have to be evacuated by police before the match begin! Arghh,I can't go online without seeing anti Malaysian message posted either at FB, Twitter or Kaskus !!! |

Im really not sure about indonesians who lived in their mainland, but most of indonesians who came here (eg: profesionals, students) are actually nice and friendly. But the attitudes of those in indonesia mainland, with all the threats on malaysian people, i really dont see any sporting attitude there. I cant understand why they think they are the one with more sporting attitude.

Been away from my PC for a few days now but thought I'd give my 2 cents anyway. For the first time in a long time, I'm actually eager to watch tonight's match. Judging from the crowd I saw on telly during the first leg, I reckon many Malaysians have been waiting with just as much anticipation for the team to get their act together and it seems as though Rajagopal may have moulded together a quality product. I only caught the last two goals but I must say they were quality. Safee's second goal of the night was a page out of the "Les Ferdinand - How to Score Headers" text book. The young lads showed good overall technique and the team didn't look like strangers.
What do I make of the whole laser beam incident? Well, it was unsavoury. I mean you could clearly see the green beam in the face of the players and it must have been distracting. Sadly, you will get a bunch of idiots at every game that don't realise their conduct off the pitch can affect results on it. Teams have been banned from their own stadiums for violent conduct and although this incident wasn't its physical equal, it could well have led to the match being called off and us needing a goal at least in Indonesia. Still, to blame their defeat purely on the lasers is a poor excuse. In the end, they were undone by a combination of dodgy defending and quality. After countless debates with arresandro, I must say that he has a point. Things may just be looking up. The team is young with a number of teenagers in the wings, led by veterans at what? 24 tops? If they can keep improving, I'm darn sure the fans will be back. That's what I meant though. Forget about urging fans to the stadium under the guise of patriotism. Do well and they will flock in naturally. Pull vs. Push factor. The latter is more permanent and wins all the time. |

Malaysian are so humid that no one dares to issues pot shot of confidence to the other side... we want this soo bad that we dont wan to jeopardize or jinx anything.. even after a 3-0 lead, nobody - NOBODY- can speak without a hint of caution in their choice of words..
until our captain speaks i guess if you need to lead out your team to the Gelora Bung Karno, u need to have that arrogance...i agreed and disagree with him in some way about Indonesia team.. its not that the Indons is not good.. its just that the playing style of Vietnam and Thailand are more torturous to us.. their game are all about flair and passing and cannot be pressed at all... the only way to steal the ball is to buckle deep and lure them to us,,, Indonesia timnas is more OUR style of play more european ...this is more our turf..This post has been edited by aressandro10: Dec 29 2010, 11:43 AM |
