last time monday tak de problem my z-5500 fine tak de problem subwoofer hole tak de busuk
hari khamis pagi 11.00am so i turn on tak de noise i playing songs listering i check my subwoofer hole mng busuk i takut z-5500 akan rosak
i bought july 2008 sekarang tak de warranty suda 1year over warranty habis
macam mane fix
tak de cicak mati lah tapi hole realy smell bukan tikus bukan cicak
my hand suda check hole masuk tak de inside but wired sahaje only
sekrang my subwoofer hole tak de busuk right now
nanti i test 11am above pagi

i tested time 3pm i turn on still noise i turn off then again i turn on now ok no noise so i playing songs listering now 15sec again noise sigh i turn off i check my subwoofer hole still busuk
how to fix solve

if am not wrong logictech z-5500D speakers come with 2 years warranty.

1 year by the place u bought 1 more year from logitech directly

Inside the subwoofer its very big if it die near corner corner your hand cant reach there too. So i suggest u find someone to identify wat smell is tat?

ya i suda check menang smell like this electrik lah but not animal too just electirk
my cables is fine no problem i have change new Fuse already still same

so means something short circuit or burn inside your subwoofer lor

Could it be something inside the subwoofer burned?

my subwoofer not burned but hole also smell macam electrik i think amp problem ?? not woofer i think so

i have chat him to come my place pickup my z-5500 to send logitech campany
he told me he busy 2days more time sigh
maybe monday i waiting hehe
he told me need send logitech check just know

Haha nobody want come pickup u know how heavy is it. Me myself also cant carry the subwooder le. Somemore must carry to car then drive there then bring up.

i still love my logitech z-5500D till today. My only problem is the decoder screen blurry abit like the text not clear beside tat my speaker is just excellent.

Is there going to be a replacement for Z-5500D since Logitech discontinued the product already?

Basically it works like a Belkin Gold Series Surge Protector, but this is specific for hifi and home theathre application and performance is better. Annoying popping sound when i turn on and off lights/fans gone from my Z5500D. My fren say he can hear difference in the sound of his speaker... but for me.. i cant really on Z5500... but hifi can... very different sound compared to wall power. Too bad i cant listen to his speaker cos he live other town. He got it cos he is going hifi soon this month... main purpose is for hifi.
