NR is good, but u lost a lot of details by applying NR  doh.gif. That's why I shot all my files in RAW with NR OFF  wink.gif
*
of course u do loose some detail. what i mean is, softwares like lightroom n photoshop nowadays are better at retaining details when removing noise compared to the older versions of the software.

^ I used to think that way, good lens + normal body is enough. But once I went up to D700, all my lens got an 'upgrade' instantly LOL.
*
rclxub.gif rclxub.gif I think I got to try pro body first. hmm.gif
bro celz. people usually say 50mm is the most normal prime lens. whereby you can di portrait, and most of normal activities.
I am wondering does that mean 50mm on FX body or DX body??

Its 50mm on full frame. 50mm lenses used to be sold as "kit lens" 30 years ago with new cameras, before the invention and proliferation of zoom lenses.

On crop sensor, 50mm is like a mid telephoto, equivalent to 85mm FOV on full frame. Not as useful as compared to 50mm FOV.

Because 50mm f/1.8D is the cheapest prime lens available. It is going for RM380 new, the cheapest lens that gives bokeh LOL.

35mm f/1.8G on the other hand is pricier.

thanks celciuz......that means I can take approx. 5 pix without memory card.....so there is nothing to worry about rite

but then why my pix count didn't even drop when i take pix.......it stay at 1.0k all the time......is this the limit D90 can shows in LCD......I mean the max D90 can shows in its LCD is 1.0k while in actual I can shot more than 1k.......and the number will only start to drop when the remaining size can occupy less than 1k pix??
*
You are right about the limit. it can shows only 3 digits. Thus, anything above 999, it will show 1.0k, 1.1k etc.
No worry, ur cam just work as it is. whistling.gif

ahhh.. I get it.
so it's only price matter? do you feel it is hard to do a good composition using 35mm?
sorry because I am going to get 35mm but still doubt it will satisfy me. rclxub.gif

Because mild telephotos with large apertures are useful for portraiture when you're too lazy to take care of your background in a more artistic way.

I like the sharpness and the "natural perspective" of a 50mm instead. tongue.gif

Talking about sharpness, I think I have to be pixel peeping to compare against my zoom already tongue.gif. Sharpness isn't a factor to me xD. More of the bokeh and lightweight of the lens.

I think you tend to come up with better composition on primes mainly because of limitations. You will try something out of your norm when you're restricted to space/distance etc.
