hahaha... laugh.gif

coihbu... naaaa...
I light up 10-12 hr per day and the algae bloom like no body business (I got like 5 kind of algae in my tank)... doh.gif
I dun have any chiller and the temp is about 32*... that's why I always face algae problem...
after "consulting" a friend from sg... I found out that my tank need 50 SAE to keep the tank balance...

my aro can't chase the SAE as SAE swim very fast and have plenty of plants to hide...
and I only feed my aro with milworm... making them thinking milworm is the only food source... brows.gif
unless I go out station for more than 3 days (no one to feed my aro)...
than the aro will eat my SAE... rclxub.gif

tell you guys somthing... and dun tell others...

my wife said "taking advantage from someone for the benefit of oneself is a sin... even it's a milworm...!!!"

errr...

I am sinfull for heaving aro... sweat.gif

Hi guys,

I want to solve the hair algae, so I think I want to put 1 or 2 SAE in my 2 feet tank. My tank has guppies (adult n fry), neon tetra, n oto fish inside. Is it okay if I put SAE inside? Will SAE eat the fry?

Slacx: no prob. But you must get small size SAE. Once they reach 2inch, set them free in lake or river
I keep fire red shrimps, guppy, yamato and SAE in my tank smile.gif
Last time I keep cardinal tetra with guppy, they ate all the fry

better solve algae problem from the root..

Introduction

Every aquarium keeper has likely had to deal with an algae problem. In a planted aquarium, an even more complex set of variables can easily go out of whack, and end in a sad algae state. I’ve combined information from a few different websites, added some personal experience, and have hopefully assembled a complete reference for the most common types of algae seen in the planted aquarium, along with their causes and cures. This is an ever-evolving document, so if you feel anything is incorrect or misleading, please don’t hesitate to leave a comment with your correction.

Table of Contents

Black Brush/Beard (Rhodophyta)
Brown Algae (Diatoms)
Blue Green (Cyanobacteria)
Cladophora
Fuzz Algae
Green Dust Algae (GDA)
Green Spot (Choleochaete orbicularis)
Green Water (Euglaena)
Hair/Thread Algae
Staghorn (Compsopogon sp.)

Loon1031: I think should be ok because we only release very small amount of fish into the river. They only eat algea. So original river population won't affect much.
Or you got better suggestion? smile.gif

Actually, puffer can be found at area where river and sea meet. Last few months when I go fishing with my dad, we caught 8 puffer out of 10 fishes. Lol
They are seriously over populating because nobody eats them in malaysia.

But, pls don't buy puffer. They are mini demon. If so unfortunate you got one, don't throw them into lake or river. Give it back to LFS tongue.gif

H2O2 6% = RM6.30 from Guardian. just add in 2ml to my 4 feet tank (suppose 4ml). my guppy start eating the BBA.
they said H2O2 better than seachem excel because almost 1 bottle 500ml i had poured inside my tank but not result at all.

i can give u some u want to try.

Nope, even a small fish but you won't know it will affect what. U have to reponsibility on th fish u buy. Advise sell/give to LFS or give frined than throw into river.
