DIY Co2 no need check valve and bubble counter, but the steel Co2 tank will need 2 check valve and 1 bubble counter.
When your getting the steel Co2 tank, get around 2 to 3L ones. Get a manual regular around RM75, don't get the Solenoid RM280, too expensive and the normal manual regulator will work find. Get one with a gauge to at least tell you if its full or not. Should be around 1000psi when its fully filled.

48w is definately ok. I've grown Java moss with 36w before.

Bought 10 Yamato shrimps, but they didn't seem to be touching the hair or thread algae.

Now, I just cut off all the affected stem plants and minimize my iron dosage. Funny that it only affected my red stem plant (rotala wallichi)

hi guys, any1 wants neon tetras and fluorescent danios? i got 4 of them for each type. giving them away. can self collect at penang island.

so what should I do if my tank is attack with hair algae?

do I need to inject lots of excel & black out?

I'm retiring on planted tank already...going to sell off all my stuffs...wonder will i be able to sell it or not...hmmm

haha...just normal tank la...lights, aquarium, aquarium stand, CO2 with manual regulator, canister filter...

but i'll create a selling thread here when i got more time next weekend. these weeks are just crazy.....

hah..yea....been 2 years plus....work is catching up...i have practically no time to maintain the tank d..

location is penang tho...

clean water and fert is important too... 

hehe.. some plant can survive 28-29c, some not.. so depends 

i think my tank lack fertilization. even the moss are not growing so well.
right now i'm dosing seachem flourish twice a week.

what should i add?
btw i'm using ADA malaya.

i tested the gravel i buy last sunday with vinegar, the result is all the white pebble rocks and palm size rock all reacted to it.    i saw some forumer said that those rocks reacted to vinegar cannot be use on freshwater tank is it? all the stones i bought now have to dump to dirt now 

the rocks sell by lfs is 3 times more expensive and they are similiar to the 1 i bought. that's why i went to garden shop buy.    next time will check further
