becks will be a good addition, at least can show the current players how to take a proper free kick.. every time he took a free kick within 30yards i would expect it to end up behind the goal

QUOTE(pyroboy1911 @ Dec 21 2010, 10:56 PM) one hell of an attitude yeah he is the spoiled brat in italy and now he is in england.even cassano looks like a saint when compared to this bloke.been googling and see that many footballers are not pleased with him as well, including Zanetti and Materazzi while he is in Inter. The legendary Totti also give him a superb kick just to teach him a lesson, cooly walked away after being red carded nice video its a shame really since he is good but he can go to further heights if he sorts his ego/stupidity up.the azzurri could use him but as for now he will just be a big liability for the nazionale or wch ever club he is playing for. Added on December 21, 2010, 11:04 pmbig game this weekend if all goes well.sunderland....mm i say it will be bigger then the ski match.they frustrated us at the std of light, and while were in a very good position now to start raking up that pts and need to be at the best. Yea I used to admire his talent too. But over time his attitude gets over his head. Such a waste. Ppl must be thinking it's the City connection that I show my dislike to both him and Tevez
Just hope Chelsea arsenal match will have a favourable outcome to us. If not draw, maybe arsenal to win because they are more likely to drop points here and there than Chelsea, especially nearing the end of season since Chelsea always finishes strong. Sunderland is also a tough opponent, they have a good form at the moment and them playing in the weekend means they have sort of a match fitness and continuity compared to us. |

QUOTE(boxsystem @ Dec 21 2010, 11:34 PM) We probably have a family rivalry as well. Rio vs Anton! Are they still betting to see who score more goals? We should play 2 up top. They are running out of CB already. 3 CBs are out injured [Bramble, Turner, Mensah] while Cattermole is suspended [5 bookings]. As always, Bent will be the main danger. He just seems to score when playing against the big teams. Not to mention now Gyan is there as well. Berbatov lands Bulgarian award QUOTE December 21, 2010 Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov has been named Bulgarian Player of the Year for the seventh time. The 29-year-old beat off competition from Gaziantepspor forward Ivelin Popov and FC Twente goalkeeper Nikolay Mihaylov to claim the award for the fourth straight year and equal Hristo Stoichkov's record for consecutive wins. Berbatov, who previously won the accolade in 2002, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008 and 2009, is currently top scorer in the Barclays Premier League with 11 goals. http://menmedia.co.uk/manchestereveningnew...ulgarian_award_ Glazers not for selling United despite rumoured interest from Qatar QUOTE Manchester United remain adamant that the Reds are not for sale and are ready to rebuff any approach by Qatar Holdings who are reported to be preparing a £1.5bn bid. The company is the investment arm of the royal family of the burgeoning oil and gas rich tiny country of Qatar. Qatar Holdings’ chief executive and chairman, Sheikh Hamad Bin Jassim Bin Jabr Al-Thani, who is Qatar’s prime minister, wants to increase their portfolio of investments and United is viewed as an iconic acquisition to add to the Harrods Group it bought last May for £1.5bn from Fulham owner Mohammed Al Fayed. United’s owners the Glazers have consistently put the blocks on any takeover insisting that the United project was a long term one for the American family. A club spokesman repeated the stance and denied there was any truth in the interest from Qatar. “There is nothing in this. The club have had no approach at all and it is not for sale,” said Communications director Phil Townsend. The Gulf Times, Qatar’s best-selling newspaper, have quoted a source as saying, “Qatar looks like trying for United, although no one is saying anything officially.” Making a bid to takeover United would be a further move into the soccer market which has become a clear intent of the emirates country. Qatar was successful earlier this month with their controversial bid for the World Cup in 2022. It was a bid endorsed by United manager Sir Alex Ferguson who visited Dohar last month prior to FIFA’s announcement to back the country’s efforts. Due to the heat in Qatar in the summer FIFA are now considering plans to switch the world tournament to the winter. Last week the Qatar Foundation, which is the charity wing of the ruling family, caused a sensation in Spain when they agreed a £25m a season deal with Barcelona to sponsor the Catalan club’s shirts. It was the first time Barca have ever had a shirt deal. Any potential bid for United would be a drop in the ocean for Qatar Holdings whose assets are estimated at a whopping £40bn. Despite another firm public rebuff from the Glazers there remains suspicion that the Florida-based owners have been preparing the ground for a sale. Last month the controversial PIKs (Payment in Kind loans) that were incurring massive interest payments were unexpectedly paid off by the Glazer’s holding company Red Football Joint Venture Ltd. The Glazer’s spokesman also announced in the wake of paying off the PIKs that he will be leaving the company in January. City experts saw the £220m PIKS which wiped out the infamous loans as a sign that a takeover would be on the horizon. http://menmedia.co.uk/manchestereveningnew...rest_from_qatar This post has been edited by alien2003: Dec 21 2010, 11:53 PM |
