QUOTE(Codyx @ Jan 2 2011, 12:16 AM) Not long la..where got long...haha...beside the half-year 'thinking'....\ Lol. Nvm. I rather get piece by piece rather than wasting 1 whole pool of blood one shot. CZ + flash coming soon, hopefully ~.~Anyway...i haven't own anything yet....i'll get the whole system at once soon...not keeping pieces-by-pieces also |

1) anyone here own a tamron AF 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 XR Di II LD ASP IF Macro lens? is it worth getting as an all-round travel lens? want a telephoto lens but do not want to lug around my lenses while traveling abroad.
2) i found the Sigma 17-70MM F2.8-4 DC MACRO OS HSM @ RM1630. is that a good price? coz i've no idea how much the market price is. |

zstan: Studio Zaloon is a Sony Pro-Shop. It is the same thing.
The Sigma 17-70mm F2.8-4 EX DC OS HSM is a lot better for video due to OS and HSM. Nicely done on the coconut shot! The lens hood won't help if the flare is from inside the shot. blowsh: #1 background not so ngam. #2 a bit too tight. deathbringer: The Sigma 17-70mm F2.8-4.5 EX DC Macro is the non-HSM version which is cheaper. It also focuses closer than the OS HSM version. 8tvt: The OS HSM version is more suitable for video since you can turn off SteadyShot and shoot video for 29 minutes instead of 9 minutes with SteadyShot on. fansoption: Well done on #1! porkchop: What part soft? The flash hotshoe contacts get dirty which is why you have to scratch it. Codyx: The Tamron 17-50mm F2.8 is using in-body motor for Alpha mount, but still not entirely quiet. That is why HSM and SSM lenses are better suited for video. Cheapest SSM lens from Sony being the Sony 70-300mm F4.5-5.6 G SSM. d4rkholeang3l: I like shot #4 most (though, Imageshack is being terribly slow as is Streamyx where I am...) ieR: Whoa, stripped distance encoder! noprob: Yes the O ring adapter is good. evilhomura89: The IR remote can do BULB as well - you press it once to trigger, press again to close the shutter. Whoa, how did you get a before shot? That is quite cool! I like #3. Mikeshashimi: I love #1 because it puts an uncle in place. It's a deeeep shot. e-jump: Nice, I am liking the purple-ness! mastering89: Well done! likito: Nice concept! linkinstreet: Seeing that there has not been a single occurence of temperature-related AF variance I would put it down to technique (I had a friend who would automatically lean back a bit after half-pressing, causing misfocus!) So uh, relax while you take them pictures. That said, there could be focus shift (the Minolta/Sony 50mm F1.4 is prone to this). This is where the lens focuses differently based on the aperture chosen (even in manual focus.) I like your last example shot, regardless of what you'd think is misfocus. |

QUOTE(albnok @ Jan 2 2011, 02:20 AM) e-jump: Nice, I am liking the purple-ness! Gee.. Thanks..1 of my my 2011 resolution is to take the surroundings into composition (less normal portraits) to fit the character. However im still far from other photogs who can make the picture speak what character type the person in the photo is ![]() This post has been edited by e-jump: Jan 2 2011, 11:37 AM |
