how to install all the XPS driver (from the DVD) after installed a new W7 Ultimate on XPX 15. a friend of mine try to install it but found out that most of the driver in the Drivers DVD cannto be extracted?
*
Same problem I got. I went to Dell's website, downloaded all the drivers and installed one by one. Tedious, but it's the only option.

Also, W7 Ultimate is only 32bit I think, so that renders the laptop crippled as most of its drivers are for 64bit.

I don't get any shocks, weird.

By the way, just announced. SB chips are being recalled, so I guess we'll have to wait for the new SB-chipped XPS 14/15s.

If the socket isn't properly grounded then you'll get shocks, I guess.

Actually, it's 'safe' to buy now. Just that they're recalling the chipsets, so we're not entirely sure if the flaw affects the processor. If it also affects the processor, then whoever who buys a SB laptop, good luck la whistling.gif

Thank goodness I got my XPS 15 before the backlit keyboard ran out and all. laugh.gif

it doesnt affect the processor, but it affects the e-Sata port on the Mobo... as they stated, the port would deteriorate over time.. means we won't even be able to see the problems within the first few months or in short term..

Added on February 1, 2011, 11:58 amdepends how u treat the word safe also lar...

since we're gonna buy 2-3 years warranty for our laptops, within that period if anything happens we can have warranty to change it....
if not, means the Mobo is just fine...

Well at least that's how i look at it..
