enabled ask already ticked.

it never asked me to select charging/hdd or sync.

from the usb option, i tried to set it to hdd/sync, but still same.

it just didnt detect the hdd/sync at all. but it can detect only "usb debugging" on top of left. (top of left doesnt show "charging only" too)


issit possible that the usb bricked ? i googled and usb can be bricked but i dont understand at all.

@dvinez - set the default to ask when you connect. Settings > Connect to PC. May also be the cable and PC drivers.

@jamieshin - Go to mail. Choose your Hotmail. Then Menu>More>Settings>General Settings and set it to be default

as i said in my first post, i already have "ask me" enabled. also i tested with another desire with same pc and cable and it works as it should.

have you try to pull down the notification bar?? tap on the "charge only".. then select "HTC Sync"....

no "charge only" for me to select. only option is "usb debugging" which allowed me to disabled it.
if i disabled it. when i plug in usb. no notification at all. but it is charging.

how to type cmd in fastboot ? need to have phone rooted first ?

Ahh, so you are still on stock and not rooted yet? Then problem would be elsewhere cos the USB brick happens only when rooting cos it changes the original img files

Before this when you connect USB, did it happen?

something weird happen last nite .. i am using an 8GB Transcend 6 speed micro SDHC.

All this while it was fine with occasional unable to detect card, but it was solved by restarting.

But last nite - suddenly it warn that it is only Read-Only, despite me restarting so many times.

It is also unable to load programs / icons installed in the micro SDHC. today when i try restart, it hanged on the white HTC screen. so i have no choice but to transfer the content now to a 4GB card.

When i was transfering on a PC - noticed that 4 files we corrupted, one of them being the ROM Manager installation files and balance 3 was some thumbnail index for pic, video and picasa.

anyone knows what happened here? i thnk the 8GB already had some hardware issues ..

hopefully by transfering the contents, the A2SD still works, etc ...

still on stock, froyo. but it is a used phone.
my friend bought from a forumer here yesterday.

but since mine connect nicely, his should right ?
or every phone need a original sd card to install own driver with own serials. this phone used new sd card.

i think i am in problem - i transfered everything into new MSDHC card .. and restart.

still stuck at HTC white screen ... how la? sigh***

try boot without sd ?

@netken - re-flash. Or format back the faulty SD on PC. The SD is like your HDD, so there are times when we are unlucky enuf to be hit with bad sectors.

Never tried it before but can you save the game with data and restore? By copying to new SD?

Can also try with disk utility to repair the SD on your PC. Did that once and it worked but takes some time for it to finish but managed to run it as before.

cant..actually i read a lot of forum already..the only method is only the install jdk thing, cos im waiting for it to complete.

Format ur sd card and reflash the rom.

you on custom rom right?what rom?if you are use rom that using dark tremor script for a2sd+ (i know only this and dont know bout other)..most probaly it wont boot up if sd card not around as it symlink it both.

just scandisk first your sdcard on windows or check winamp setting and untick mount sdcard.

backup first using backup manager.
