I did a battery pull. Rebooted into normal mode ok.
Then i tried rebooting back into "Recovery" from HBOOT.
Freeze in the booting HTC (green words) screen

uhh, wait, have you rooted your phone already?

if not, then how are you going into recovery?

Oh ok, maybe thats why. Let me do the rooting process again. From no.1
Im following the guide from Here
& mine is a SLCD set

did you made sure that your phone is rooted already before going to step 3A?

Open the App tray and look for the Superuser app. The app details will be blank- that's entirely normal and what is to be expected. For final confirmation, reboot the phone into HBOOT and see if it says S-OFF at the top. If so, you're rooted!


I repeated the steps several times. When i boot into HBOOT its still shows S-ON.

did you try booting up your phone and check if there an app called superuser? if you have then you're rooted already.

Ya I have the app already, but why I cannot boot into "Recovery" from HBOOT menu.

Also is there any other way to check if I have rooted properly ?

Edit : Already manage to boot in to "Recovery".

Check your box. It will be written at the back of it. Under "Display".

Also, by the way is there any app to see download speed of application via 3G or WiFi ? I notice there is no speed indication. Only progress. Also is there any app to install battery indicator in % ?

if don't have means your set is SLCD set,
if you buy new set just recently most probably its SLCD set

i got 1 more question~ wen i wan send smthg tru email.. its auto set my email to my gmail.. how to change it? bcos i cant even click my email add n change.. where is the default setting.. i wan cancel it.. cos im nt using gmail... i using hotmail..

Click MENU>NEW ACCOUNT>OTHER(POP3/IMAP)

hotmail is POP protocol.

key in ur email address & password.

how do import contacts from my sim card and I've enable mobile network connect but still cant online is it bcoz I cant get the 3g sign ?
so far still learning bout the phone.
and I screw up my SP coz didnt apply it nicely now got bubble and stuff.

bro i got 1 big problem, when plugged into usb, it shows only charging and showing usb debugging on top left only.
it didnt detect hdd, sync or any. it didnt ask me which usb function to use too when i have it enabled.

this happen to one of desire, another set i have uses the same cable and it function as it should.

help cry.gif issit the phone problem ?

jamie, root directory means, just put in out-est side of the memory card. no need put inside any folder.

yea yea.. i did tat ored.. but wat i means is.. like i wan share a file out.. den u can choose fb...tweeter... n so on.. den i wan choose 'send via email'.. thn i click tat.. it auto set my email is under gmail.. n i cant even change my email to my hotmail...... so how a???

jamie, root directory means, just put in out-est side of the memory card. no need put inside any folder.

meaning you already enable charging only and tick do not ask again. i assume you on sense rom.
i forgot where enable it again since i'm on aosp long enough to forget.
