i think there is something new to the chefs, they have this data2ext now which can actually use the SD card just like it is the internal memory. I have not tried it yet until it is really stable to use... i heard it is experimental... the latest RCMix Sense HD rom and the AuranTSense 8.1.1 (non-HD) use this dart2ext now which free up a lot of the internal memory but you need at least a 1GB ext2/3/4.

OwnhereHD ROM uses data2ext as well, i have been using for 3 days.

Everything works fine so far except the 720p recording (Known bug) and feel that not responsive as compare to my previous SuperVillan ROM

i shave my head again if you get those free memory from stock rom...

I tried the minitool partition wizard......
but it seems like my phone doesn't recognize the partition made by the wizard.....
at the end i went back to gpart using ubuntu.....

but when we talking of flashing rom, size of internal memory wont be affected as all goes into system memory.....
basically if a new rom is flash, you will get the same internal memory, unless certain rom that push the file into local instead of system.....
Only certain rom push the apk into local instead of system, but still wont free up internal memory.....

you can try to download the iso and run in vmware, but i'm not sure whether it works or not......

lemme clarify. me using stock ROM. the sains of rooting is too deep for me. I want to root but dunno where to start. the memory I mention is not the internal phone storage. I am referring to.... when I kill apps using advanced task killer, it tell Me now I got more memory.

if u use ubuntu . u can straight away formate use disk utilities under admin .

from there can chose ext 2, ext 3, ex4

The guys are right that the data2ext still has problems. A word of caution is that it might run your SD card down faster. Just my suspicion cos i blew one SD card with ownhere's ROM and had to reformat another using RCMixHD's v14. Now flashed back to RCMixHD v14 old fashion and it looks more stable.

Since you already s-off and on cyanogenmod, actually you can increase your internal memory partition upto 300mb...
there is some MDT out there running with something like system memory160mb, cache 10mb, internal memory 300mb
but they say small cache make the phone slower, so i dint try it....
