I have booked an appointment for instillation for 5th Jan. I don't have a landline in my house. Do I need one before they come to install?
*
No, you do not need a landline. You'll get a VOIP that comes with the package.

Can I use OpenWRT as my firmware, can my IPTV be used?
*
OpenWRT can be used as your firmware, and your IPTV can be used as well. Since you have the exact same model as the guy I helped last time, ask him for the configuration files.

His nick is tch9

Hai all, im new vip10 user here..i have a suggestion that what if u all list down all the wifi routers that suitable to be used with unifi + custom firmware + how to setup to optimal maybe
and pin it down at the first page, that should help for new user or noob like me for replacing the dlink615.

Thanks..
*
I 2nd the suggestion to list down compatible routers on the first page or on the Unifi handbook site. I still wade through the pages one after another but trying to find a single router (other than mikrotik) is starting to become a hassle. yawn.gif

Guys, I was thinking of getting a wireless AP (client mode) connected to the IPTV box and then connect through wifi to the TM's Dlink 615, will that work?

brother, i have some question, the DIR-615 wifi seem like not stable, the latency keep up and down sometime. and the signal is weak.

will that ver6.09 will solve this issue? if not, how about i using homeplug for replacement with the current wifi?

I have 2PCs running on wifi while PS3 running with LAN cable.
