just subscribe to VIP5 for the past 1 week and feels that download speed is much slower than my Streamyx 2MB last time. i'm just downloading some program exe file (mainly from US and China region), and not movies from download web site.
for example, now i'm downloading ppstream.exe from the main web site, and the download speed is 3000-4000B/s. this is freaking slow. is this normal? also, browsing to China web site slow like hell. is this what you all on VIP5 gets as well or is it just me? |

QUOTE(ldragon @ Dec 28 2010, 07:14 PM) PPstream if slow from their main site, what you can do is use their mirror sites: ok tried the direct download, it's fast. can get 100-150kbps.http://www.duote.com/soft/1640.html Direct download: http://75.duote.org/ppstreamsetup.exe but for other files, like the exe files that i download from filehippo.com web site, it's also slow like hell.... browsing to china sites also slow like turtle. PS: I saw there's an announcement on the internet disruption to US on 19 dec. not sure whether this is one of the reason for the damn slow speed. |

QUOTE(FreedomGSX @ Dec 29 2010, 01:44 AM) and wtf is happening now. after 1 month + of using UniFi , it has finally slowed down to 10kb/s download speed..i mean wtf? i suggest you install PingPlotter free edition and do a few ping test to a few web sites that you think are slow and then save the ping plotter chart as images and send these images to unifi helpdesk.500kb/s to 10kbs...this is cowpoop. not to mention its direct download. tried from a few websites and still no change of speed. tmnut screwed up again.thanks i just did and seems like they ase having some network/routing issues. |
