Anyone experience before problem for warranty to BAN LEONG?
I sent my mouse to BAN LEONG Technologies for warranty but the people there call me take back to the shop? oh my god, what is this? HELLO, I am in BAN LEONG office, I repeat again I AM IN BAN LEONG TECHNOLOGIES office the OFFICIAL RAZER DISTRIBUTOR OF MALAYSIA THEY CANT EVEN DO WARRANTY FOR ME but call me take back to shop for warranty? COOL.. what distributor for? Opss.. I mean THE OFFICIAL OF RAZER DISTRIBUTOR OF MALAYSIA for? Buy and Sell but without services? Cool.. Honestly, I am very disappointed with RAZER service. Hopefully people consider buying razer product THINK TWICE before you buy it. Especially those people from far away come buy stuff in KL like PC FAIR etc.. If any problem you only can send to that booth or shop BUT NOT BAN LEONG. OFFICIAL RAZER DISTRIBUTOR OFFICE CANNOT DO WARRANTY Do you still believe on them? |

QUOTE(nicholas5141 @ Mar 31 2011, 01:19 PM) Anyone experience before problem for warranty to BAN LEONG? Another "Take back to the shop thing by Ban Leong" ... Amazing this is how Ban Leong treat their customers... Customer already present in their service center and they can still shuuu them away like that.I sent my mouse to BAN LEONG Technologies for warranty but the people there call me take back to the shop? oh my god, what is this? If any problem you only can send to that booth or shop BUT NOT BAN LEONG. OFFICIAL RAZER DISTRIBUTOR OFFICE CANNOT DO WARRANTY Do you still believe on them? It really don't make sense at all why Ban Leong keep forcing customer to go back to the shop to claim their warranty especially when the item already more then a year and customer have to pay RM30 service charge just for the shop to send back to Ban Leong? It really don't make a single sense at all to me when at the end of the day the mouse still reach the same Ban Leong service center so what's the difference if the customer personally take the mouse back there with official receipt? I encounter the same nonsense from Ban Leong too when they keep insist that I take it back to the shop and when I question them countless time why I can't take it back to them directly they refuse to answer me even in the email and PM in lowyat. I brush this issue aside because at the moment I don't want to create so much hassle so I just take the mouse back to the shop I brought the mouse back to Thundermatch and guess what they tell me when I say Ban Leong say can't take back to them. The staff answer me "What??? then what's that service center for?"... Seriously Ban Leong, I have another friend who have a similar experience as this bro here that you guys wanted to shoo him away when he take his official receipt to claim warranty for his non working button on his Razer Diamondback 3G in Ban Leong. I can really get him in here to start telling the bad experience he went through with Ban Leong just to claim warranty. Nicholas you should just insist that you want them to take the mouse and fix your problem. There is no reason for them to ask you go back to the shop when you already have an official receipt with valid warranty and present in BAN LEONG SERVICE CENTER that are suppose to do warranty claims purposes!! About claiming warranty directly from Ban Leong, I think it's doable but they have to improve their system first. My speculations on why they insist on end-users to bring it back to the shop/dealer (again I repeat this is just my speculation) is probably to keep things more organized.
It'll be easier for them to keep track of all RMA status at the moment since all RMA cases will be generated under the shop/dealer account with Ban Leong. If they were to accept RMA cases directly from the end-users, I think it will cause more complications since they have to keep a good track/record of the end-users' database and follow-up with them whenever the warranty procedures are done. How they do it now is that the shop/dealer will send it back to them for warranty and once done, they will just automatically send it back to the shop/dealer without the need of calling the shop/dealer to inform anything or what. Perhaps if they have a better RMA case system, they might just be able to accommodate/accept RMA cases directly from end-users. |

tl;dr. Sea of words
very common with Ban Leong. They will ask you take it back to the shop, and the shop will ask you take directly to Ban Leong, vice versa. I guess you just have to raise your voice when dealing with them. This post has been edited by TechnoG: Mar 31 2011, 02:19 PM |

QUOTE(TechnoG @ Mar 31 2011, 02:18 PM) tl;dr. Sea of words I'm fine taking it back to the shop if is still within the first year warranty. A lot of shops will inform the buyer that they most of the time cover the first year warranty only and the following year you have to take it back to the distributor personally or else you need to pay service charge for the "transportation fees". I've RMA many items from different brands before and most of the time I take all the items directly back to the distributor office and Ban Leong is the first that I've encounter that ask you to take it back to the shop even when you are already in their service center. What if the shop already relocated, move or close down?very common with Ban Leong. They will ask you take it back to the shop, and the shop will ask you take directly to Ban Leong, vice versa. I guess you just have to raise your voice when dealing with them. I agree with the "rasiing your voice part" .. I think most of the time you need to talk some sense into their head because they seriously treat their customer like a ball kicking them all over the places just for their convenience sake This post has been edited by selinix: Mar 31 2011, 02:25 PM |

Raise your voice to Ban Leong. Just talk some sense to them and hope that they will listen. I really like Razer products for their design and performance although sometimes their QC is questionable but somehow the way the sole distributor in Malaysia deal with warranty claims is really disappointing. How I wish there is another distributor for Razer products. |
