How to get Shrek Karting working

Install libgles1

* Get root privileges

root

* Install OpenGLES1 and OpenGLES2 (needs extras-devel)

apt-get install libgles1 libgles2

Improve corrupted/black graphics problem

* Create the file /etc/powervr.d/ShrekKarting.ini containing these two lines:

[default]
ForceExternalZBuffer=0

If the two lines above does not fix the corrupt/black screen problem, add ONE extra BLANK line (so a total of three lines) and try again.

Graphics is still not perfect - lighting textures are still not good.

How to create the file?

are u already installed the OpenGLES1 & OpenGLES2?

To create the ini file

Just create new notepad
and copy the two line =



save as ShrekKarting.ini (sifu out there, correct me if i'm wrong)
SSH into ur n900, put in the /etc/powervr.d/ShrekKarting.ini

more easy if u use leafpad in terminal

type leafpad /etc/powervr.d/ShrekKarting.ini

then just type, after that..save

I've installed the libgles1 libgles2 before.. Ok, will try your method.

earlier jananam thought how to use leafpad... since then im still using it for my N900 ..

but also kadang make silly errors..

hmm...one thing i know is, for .ipk, u can choose where u want to install the game, but for .deb, it will install into ur 2gb partition..

erm.. for ipk, only found nfsu installer.. so ill go for .deb. found this link, should save the 2gb partition.. webos games in MyDocs

btw, put the file 2 file in the folder in ur n900 storage..
check whether it working or not

Some AV auto delete any autorun.inf file or block the program to run.
That's why u cannot see the n900 icon

for video prob, i try open my video, and same.. stop at the end of the video, and didn't continuously played to another video..

yeah, you can configure it that way but the problem is that you cannot view your email if you are offline.
correct me if im wrong.

through nokia messaging you can view offline and emails pushed from my gmail is fast too..not to mention you can have up to 10 email acc in nokia messaging making reading/checking multiple email in n900 is so easy indeed.

thanks man... your autorun file did help me change the generic USB icon into the n900 one (I know it's not a big deal... but you know... these things do irk me)

So, still no way to solve the continuous play issue? Or is that standard that the media player doesn't play videos continuously? No right? Cause I do remember there was one time where it did play continuously...

didn't have enough time to try all the webos game yet..
Only try four game, assasins creed, oregon trail,nsfu, hero of sparta..
but already uninstalled assassins creed & hero of sparta (due to multitouch requirement)

I'm the one who like 'relax' game that can be played while lunch time or during in the toilet..lol

the songs is ok... no problem with the songs... but the video player... maybe i remembered it wrongly... but i can vividly remember the videos playing continuously in the default player...

aih... that's why... the device allows you to tamper around too much we forgot what it is we tampered...

I kinda like the media player.... so that's why didn't use others... hehehe... plus the media player widget is kinda simple and cool.

juz now i try,no nid to reg anything,juz put the email address, and it auto configure..

sori bro, i try with sib player,oso don't have the continous play setting.
