Did you install any memory management apps, such as autokiller or minfree manager? maybe the value you set is too strict. This happen when your game needs more ram, it kills other apps to free ram. |

I wanna know from those whom used Doc's ROM v8. Does it support 3G video calls?
Looking forward to it, as the official FroYo with 3e recovery is a headache for me to flash my Battery Mod. *sigh* |

Report :
Guys! V8 BEFORE Batt Calibrate, 11pm-7.30am, 1% drop in battery..... Muahahahah~~ But bare in mind, i havent install my 3g watchdog, widgets, etc.... i think those on homescreen is probably wat sucking my batt. Another thing is that, under batt history -> running -> only around 30mins... where previously it's in hours.... |

QUOTE(| K e e | @ Nov 24 2010, 09:52 AM) The point here is to find out the main culprit. At least those on heavy widgets know... well.. that is the batt life u can expect if u have lots of widgets. Will try 1 by 1 widgets to see the batt drain. My Setting from 11.30pm - 7.30am Firmware : Doc v8.0.1 ADJP5 Modem : ADJP3 Kernal : Ya_OK Build 30 Home Screen : 3 Launcher : LP as default, ADW installed on stock too. Widget : ZERO. Wifi : Off GPS : Off Data Background : Off Auto Sync : Off HSDPA : Disabled Data Packet Network. |

QUOTE(Fornx @ Nov 24 2010, 10:34 AM) You mean the below questions, right?QUOTE(Fornx @ Nov 24 2010, 07:55 AM) have rooted mine using z4root and voodoo-ed. how do i uninstall and disable them totally from my phone if i wanna revert back to the default dxjpa kernel? No need to disable root, I think root will disappear upon new firmware flashing. Just disable voodoo, boot one time again to convert back to rfs. Then flash any firmware you like.for z4root, unroot and uninstall is it? will the superuser folder disappear by then? what about voodoo pre6? QUOTE(adliazaddin @ Nov 24 2010, 10:53 AM) unfortunately OCLF for me is not so a good lagfix. It will start lagging again after few days of usage. And btw, quadrant score doesn't reflex the reality of smoothness. But is easy to apply for newbies. |

Agreed with jujx. Oclf is not the best choice. But very easy to apply it. For me, its voodoo the best lagfix

Dude, i prefer to use linpack instead. Find it more reliable compare to quadrant. What do u think? And btw, quadrant score doesn't reflex the reality of smoothness. ------ speak of the expert But is easy to apply for newbies. ------------------------- So glad ur v8.0.1 didnt give u any problem when u make calls. Oh.. what u think about the link that posted by Ken2291 with regards to ULF file corrupted. what would u actually feel in reality on the phone? QUOTE(stuckedinsweden @ Nov 24 2010, 07:54 AM) Hi all, LOL I was about to ask the same thing. I am currently on Darky's full of AWESOMEness raw steel edition... but thinking of jumping to DOC's barebone... Which rom do I choose?!?!Gr8 forum - love it! Alot of cool and funny people in here =) HELP ME Ehm, I have read a whoooole lot of the Doc Froyo barebone ROM thread on XDA, though I must admit I'm no way near the end of the 800 pages... So I thought I'd take a chance and ask you guys in here, seems a little bit more easier: How the devil do I install the lovely Doc Froyo barebone ROM to my Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000? (which is the one who is also known as DOC KALPIK V7 ???) I have read the FAQ in here and in XDA, but still seems to be quite confusing for me with the different versions of it and what you need to do...im lost =( Waaah I have the standard Froyo stock rom on my phone, I have installed z4root and OCLF along with ROM Manager - ClockWordMod - thats all I've done to it as being the wildest... My specs are (using the *¤1234¤): PDA: I9000XWJPA Phone: I9000XXJPP CSC: I9000XEEJP4 I have a 32gb sd card installed as well. So...which version do I install of the Doc Froyo and how???? 'Cause I also wanna install this theme for it: "NEW JPA VERSION WORK ON DOC_KALPIK ROM v7 BY WHISKEYBRO" http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=770507 I know I have to uninstall OCLF first, right? Please help me revive my superior love for this gorgeus phone and the world of Android to which I'm fairly new to (4 months). Thank you all SO SO SO much for your time and help and answer. Jakob |
