QUOTE(ken2291 @ Dec 1 2010, 04:17 PM) I mean what does it do actually?? Not much info on this, probably it's a variation of RyanZa's original OCLF implementation. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.p...297&postcount=1QUOTE They are ways on how to format and bind the various filesystems. You can chose how you want to format the partitions (data, dbdata and cache), whether you want to use an extra loop device or not, and whether you want to bind some directories from /data to /dbdata. .. .. (If using the overkill scheme using the bind option is dangerous if using too much apps, so you should disable it in the advanced menu.)

I read somewhere that you can install virtualbox on a mac and then have a guest winxp OS running to use ODIN and flash your SGS. Also, there is another tool called Heimdall which is multi platform and has the basic features of ODIN, but runs on mac and linux. I haven't tried it before, though. I had ext2-all lagfix scheme a couple of days back - no issues. But I am noticing better performance with ext4nj-all so am using this instead for now.

Tak suka OC kernels, because I prefer optimization in batt life more than any cpu overclocking.. The SGS is fast enough as it is, at 1GHz. Just my 2 sen's worth.
I see kalpik and a few other chaps 'pushing' hardcore to enable OC in speedmod. I really hope he doesn't. OC was the reason I moved from super-optimized kernel to speedmod kernel in the first place.
