Anyone have loud squealing noises from the rear drum brakes???? It's super annoying. Gonna have it inspected or replaced (brake shoe) as i bought the parts already.

The squeal is not due to thinning brake shoes. It is due to the braking materials in the shoe itself. Some can be corrected by grinding off a bit of the upper layer of the shoes. Some can't.

The squeal comes about during crawling traffic jams whereby there is a lot of sub 40kmh braking or slowing downs. Most noticeable is from 20kmh till zero. It is really loud at times. Especially when the brakes are still cold or come in contact with water right after car washes or rain.

I've called CoSE (03-80269167 or 0380269172) and confirmed that they are not doing any problem checking & part replacement on Saturday. They operate till 1pm on Saturday only.

CAn tapau la, from behind...What i mean is front, lets say starting point 0~60 like that sure lose. Takda pickup. But after a while power come...from back. IF long distance i can easily tapau vios also. Just acceleration problem, like takda power naik.

Seriously? Luckily I didn't listen to that guy & made my appointment on Wednesday instead..

U got play with ur gear anot? I drove both Saga (my gf's) and Persona before, and Saga's pick up is really kinda ridiculous leh. Loud engine noise from 40-70 but car like not moving. Maybe the Saga that u were trying to chase was modified... 

Vios a bit harder to chase la, cos Vios SOO much lighter than Persona. Zzz... Gonna do some weight shredding soon. 

Maybe, saga blm...After 300m~500m, i lepas the fellaw. But from 0~50km/h like that hard. @@

Mine is manual...how also takda power macam for acceleration.

I play around with the setting in USB audio( I listen to USB only. CD tarak) and so far the most desired setting for me is

Bass (-) 1
Treble (-) 3
All other remain the same.

Previously the sound system sarks. hahaha the singer like sing in jamban. Now like come out from jamban. LOL

I still feel that the Saga is in Vios' category, and that the Persona is in Altis/Civic category, only that both of them comes with bigger engines. The Vios & the Saga is at about the same weight ~1100 KGs. So it's fair to say that Persona managing to smoke Vios is a bully case 

How old is your car? Maybe you should try reflashing your ECU? Just my 2 cents.

Wah.. Have you done ECU reflashing before this?

unknownhammie, go reflash ur ECU. It doesn't matter whether you're facing probs with your car or not, cos there's nothing to lose. You'll gain better FC, better acceleration too. Trust me, you won't regret it. 

Last weekend went to cameron highland after my 1k service. I feel that my car like no power at all for the low RPM.

At some stage I have to change to gear 1 to go up, coz when I was driving at gear 3 and car at front slow down I drop to gear 2 and the RPM at 2000 but the car felt like not going to accelerate and feel really sluggish thus I have to drop to gear 1.

I just remembered for the service the mech pour all the 4L engine oil. I remembered someone talk about problem if pour all 4L engine oil.

Is this the symptom. the car really feel no power at low RPM

It's closed on Sundays. And as I said, call them up to make an appointment with them. OR you can also go to the CoSE yourself and make an appointment with them, but that would defeat the purpose of Alexander Graham Bell inventing the telephone.

LoL. What is Saga? XDXD I don't remember ever losing to a Saga with my Persona. HAHAHAHA.. unknownhammie you sure your car no prob a? My auto car also senang senang smoke Vios, Saga would be a tiny little speck at the corner of my rearview mirror. O.o Like so lansi nia. Hahaha...

just unplug the oil drain? but be warned ... it will be very very very messy... unless u are skillful enuff and have big container... oh ya u need to plug it back in fast enuff.. u dont wanna over drain them out right?

so if u r not used to change your own engine oil... best if u bring it to a workshop.. (cos i think sc might ignore u.. unless is clearly way above the max line)..
it is just too much hassle to be done by urself.. not to mention... removing exactly 200ml or 300ml .... is quite challenging...
