how much does it cost bro?seems mighty interesting biggrin.gif

the cheapest i found sell by lyn forumer kevinc66 for rm888, ya its expensive than normal monitor, but with led backlit, tv tuner, hdmi and speaker, i guess its worth it.
But there is no guarantee it will support multiple resolution like normal monitor.
resolution support for vga only 800x600,1024x768,1280x1024,1280x768,1360x768, others may come out with weird scalling and cropping, even i have problem to use 720p resolution on vga for my lcd tv doh.gif
for hdmi, guess support common resolution 480i/p,576i/p,720p,1080i/p
from quick viewing in shop, the video (i guess 720p video) play nicely and great color, just the screen are too small for home viewing doh.gif view angle are similar to other lcd tv except samsung small lcd tv (<32 inch) which just use tn panel doh.gif
QUOTE(Jet23sky @ Feb 10 2011, 05:34 PM)
Does it come with display port slot?
*
no, displayport are only for monitor right now doh.gif for me, it just an hdmi without audio. If want to use, then displayport to hdmi adapter are required

18.5 inch is enough. Because when I test at 32 inch, my eyes only look at the center of screen.

Not all DP support HDMI pass-through... so an adapter will not do for this case, you'll need a converter that that one digital signal and converts it to another digital signal. DP Digital to anologue VGA converters are cheap. not so with the digital converters.

if u want cheap, i guess i can recommend toshiba 24ps1 link(full hd panel with led backlit) lcd tv as monitor. Check it out on senheng shop , can confirm its using ips display (since its cheap, i guess they use e-ips, and there is no trailing when touching the panel)
are this one can connect direct to pc?

Hi guys. Need your advice. Planning to get a monitor with the below requirements:

1) HDMI (for use with PS3) preferably with build in speakers (if not then with 3.5" output)
2) DVI/VGA for use with laptop
3) 23"/24" LED
4) heavy gaming on laptop smile.gif
5) budget RM700+-

Any recommendations? Thanks!

The image won't be sharp and often color distortion and flickering can be observed.

Blu-ray movies and HDCP content won't be able to be shown using VGA.

Hey'all

Any ideas what monitor fits this criteria?

22-24"
HDMI
Full HD
Glossy screen like Apple Cinema display.

I'm eyeing on the HP22309m 23 inch Diagonal Full HD LCD Monitor but, its specs are kinda outdated and price is quite steep.

Any other alternatives such as Samsung or others do guys know about?

Thanks

The glossy part is a bit hard since most LCDs have a matte coating on it.Are you against such coatings? What's your budget?

Not actually against it, but a matter of preference. Budget would be around 500-800.

I have the Hp w22" glossy monitor, but would like to add a new one for my system, so I was wondering if there are other brands that 's offering glossy screen.

If there's none, I'll probably go for the 23" Dell Ips panel which have a very reasonable price.

cheap as in how cheap?imo that depends on the money saved,if it's less than rm200 it's not worth it.
