Yeap, I agree with you, Qiw.

A combo package is around RM1.3K now but it comes with a receiver worth RM400, battery, battery charger and accessory I think.

But the problem is their receiver is quite expensive loh .....

Added on June 10, 2011, 1:03 pm
But what happen to the 10CHG radio? It looks like a lot of the people are selling theirs ..... because it cannot use with the lower end receiver like R617FS?

as long as it is FASST ... then all FASST receivers are usable
does not matter 4 6 7 8 or 14 channels ...
the only difference is the post fix on the receivers ... u see HS and FS
HS = 1024/2048 bit capable .... FS = 1024 bit only
dont think u can really tell the difference unles u very PRO already .. hehehe

10C is a good radio actually ... i think most selling coz of 8FG SUPER ... 12+2 channels thing ... its NEW NOVEL thing laaa
and its CHEAPER than buying a NEW 10C !! hahahahahaa

ez for u ... this is the parkzone dealer nearest to u

Jet Hobby RC Model
133 New Bridge Road #02-67
Chinatown Point, Singapore
062-238-9333
sales@jethobby.com.sg
http://www.jethobby.com.sg

to hover a glider u need decently strong breeze ... i was once able to fly a ZAGI backwards coz the wind was so strong and with 50% throttle oso not going forward but have lift generated by the strong wind laa .. hahahahahaaaa
the wind was unusually strong that our portable canopy (big enuff to park a car) was blown over that day

Added on June 10, 2011, 9:52 pmwent to jethobby site but cannot see radian there ....
but parkzone listed them as a retailer
http://www.parkzone.com/StoreLocator/Defau...untry=Singapore

hi cheng hoe
if u have the time and patience ... and some spare $$$
radio ~ rm600 and above (choice is up to u)
heli ~ rm 1200-1400 (align trex 450 sport or pro)
batteries ~ rm60 and above per piece (from local hobby shop)
charger ~ rm200 for basic stuff
tools ~ rm150 or so
SIMULATOR ~ less than rm100
those are the basic stuff ....
i recommend u get a radio and SIMULATOR 1st if budget is tight
practice on SIM at least 20mins a day
if budget allows then u can get heli + batt + charger + tools ... while u are practicing and crashing on the SIM u can start to build the heli
when u complete the heli u will have good understanding of what is what and what to do ... of coz master the SIM in hovering 1st la at least so that your chance of crashing your REAL HELI is lessen

Woah, expensive set-up. I'm looking for something more basic as in ready to fly ones. Any recommends?
What kind of batteries you are talking about? I've seen my friends 1 using those AA batteries only.

Just realised you fishing kaki also!!
Hunt for what fish mostly?

Yeap, but that is something somehow very nice already ......
If you want to start cheaper, around 600++RM can get most of the thing, a 450 heli but don't recommend if you afford to pay more for better heli.

cheapest complete starter kit u can get for a 450 size ... rm500-600 .. ESKY BELT CP
but not recommended laaa

if u refering to those using AA type batteries then u are considering TOY GRADE heli ... it flies nothing like the rc heli
u can get those for under rm100 easily anywhere ...

some comes assembled .. some does not
it is best u learn to assemble it yourself coz it will be easier to know what u are doing when u repair or mod your heli in the future

No lah, 450 heli is a size of the heli. There are 250, 450, 500, 550 and etc.
450 size is quite popular. I can recommend align trex 450 if you think you want to fork out at least 2k to start. That is a pretty nice heli. I started with not so recommended esky belt cp, then kena poison kau kau and now i am flying a 450 trex.

There are quite a lot of choices in 450, other than the above you can look for tarot, flasher or hk450. These are the famous clone of align trex. If you are going with the clone, i recommend tarot because their quality not bad though. But this is what i read and heard only. Tarot parts are mainly in hk and china, so far not much in malaysia so you might consider that as well just in case u need parts after crash.
Start with a clone may be cheaper than a align trex.

For example, this one is around rm600++ ( exclude shipping )
http://www.hobby-wing.com/tarot-450-pro-rc...uper-combo.html

Trex is around 1k++, but of course the electronics are not the same lah .....
