QUOTE(QiW @ May 31 2011, 04:41 PM) eeerr ... i tot u read helifreak alot one ?? Sometime I missed something also mah in there got mods ma ... hehehe all i did was grind a flat spot further out on the ori shaft ... and then secure the holders there ... that will give u more travel Hehehehe, human being ...... But I did the grip flip like finless bob did ......... Now I bit scare to flip my 450 already because of the crash .... not so confident since the heli is a bit fast to me ...... should I reduce the head speed? Added on May 31, 2011, 7:23 pm Wahhhhh, HK250GT so popular meh? Received an email less than 4 hours ago that the stock has arrived at HK and now it is back order already. Great, good to hear that since I already have one to use.
Tested with 5V setup and looks like the servo is running slower a bit ..... but actually when I measure with multimeter it has 5.3V output ...... |

Weird lah, after changing the main shaft and main gear the +/- pitch different already. Before crash and repair it was like +/- 11.
Just check again after repair without changing anything related to the mixing, now is +12/-10 ........ have to shorten the 3 linkages to swash plate from cyclic servo. Then only better a bit lah like +11 and slightly less than -11, maybe -10.5. If shorten the linkage more I think at full negative pitch the swash will hit the main bearing block liao, so should be ok ho? Or adjust the swash mixing a bit? I did not put it up side down for sure because the "Align" word on the main shaft is in between the main bearing block, that is the correct one.
Since the swash does not hit anything I think I just re-adjust loh ....... suspecting the position of the main shaft hole for the jesus bolt is slightly longer than the previous shaft ...... Or maybe I've moved the servo before? hehehehhehe, no idea ...... |

QUOTE(QiW @ Jun 3 2011, 09:07 AM) u sure u did not put in v2 main shaft ?? I am sure it is a Pro version main shaft.PRO and v2 main shaft is not the same ... not sure about main shaft for sport though .... i have never heard of problems like this one ... coz the PRO main shaft for the ring where u put washers and it will not slip below the main bearing block Added on June 3, 2011, 9:13 am u can choose to use stock whip antenna ... that one looks like the one on your radio ... i have included those in .... but do not expect much performance from those la the one on the plane is called a cloverleaf antenna custom made tuned to the frequency i use ... the one on the receiver is called a skew planar wheel oso custom tuned these design has the best multipath rejection ... and oso u dont lose much video when u bank or go behind small object u try with stock antennas and those antennas then u will know the difference what i have now can go further than your naked eyes can see the plane laa .. hahahahahaa i have never been a height flyer ... the longest distance i have flown with it so far is about 800m at 200-300m height Nvm lah, I have another problem now, the blade tracking a bit weird liao, at different throttle stick position sometimes it is tracked sometimes it is out of tracked. Suspecting the SF mixing arm because there is quite a lot of play when I move it left and right using my finger. Qiw, yours one got this kind of play or not? |

Aiya .... fed up already. Originally that SF mixing arm already had small play and now it gets worse.
Stock parts not really so good and durable, hehehehhehe gonna try those clone parts and see .... Tarot one quite OK I think, or maybe Flasher ..... |

QUOTE(QiW @ Jun 4 2011, 01:53 PM) cannot blame manufacturer if u crash ... coz anything can happen in a crash ... if they make it out of super strong metal and super heavy but will not damage so easily ... oso ppl will complain one .. hahahahaa I understand this but when the heli is totally new it has some play already. Including the tail rotor hub and one of the blade grip ..... Just that the crash make it worse ...... But nvm lah, nothing is perfect ...... Added on June 6, 2011, 7:17 pm QUOTE(sLapshock @ Jun 4 2011, 02:36 PM) Flasher and tarot are good substitute, when you crash whether original or clone parts, it doesnt make either one damage less, its about compability when buying clones.... Hehehe, I am trying this way actually. Went back to my hometown and there is a hobby shop selling Flasher parts. Got one pair of their mixing arm but it is not really cheap there, just about RM10 cheaper compare to the original one.Dont sucked up to original parts too much... But if u rich..wanna get original then go ahead, like me i cant afford original. If later the clone parts are good enough I think I will switch to them also. QUOTE(QiW @ Jun 6 2011, 08:38 PM) maybe some of the clone parts could be better Probably my PRO is the 1st gen ... maybe 1st gen has better QC ?? hehehehe The price you paid for your 450 Pro is higher than what I have paid for mine .... But strange, usually first batch is prone to a lot of quality problem and improving from batches to batches ......... |

Qiw, do you believe if you upgrade those plastic tail parts (tail servo tray, tail bearing hub/holder, tail L link, tail pitch link etc) to metal it will improve your tail performance like your gyro gain?
I changed those and now i can reduced to another 10% gyro gain while the tail still hold solid, but not sure if it is because of these upgrades. |

In gyro HH mode, usually when the slider moves to either end it will bounce back a bit and then stop totally. But if before it stops then bouncing back and forth a little bit then only stop is this a sign of stripped servo gear?

I am following the way you are using actually, I was doing all these things without spooling up the heli and found this issue.
There is no binding at all because I can hear the servo buzz if it is. It is like when I move full rudder stick and release slowly, then the tail pitch slider will jitter a bit before stop. So back to the question, could that because of a stripped servo gear ar? This post has been edited by daddoo: Jun 8 2011, 11:23 AM |

Scary man, until spanner also came out ....... Nvm loh, go to other places to fly loh, KL so large ......
Hohoho, I got the idea how to isolate the problem already. Thanks for pointing out. Just remove the tail rod linkage and observe the servo horn. If it is still the same then it should not be the tail slider already ........ |

Yeap, confirm it is the servo jittering because I still see the same thing after removing the tail rod linkage.
It only happen when I release the rudder stick back to the center position slowly. My finger is calm enough so I don't think it is my finger. If I release quick then I would not see this kind of jittering. Haiya, nvm lah if later the test flight OK then don't bother already ........ |
