Not just the head, the tail set, body frame I have taken apart and rebuild again.

As many of them indicated, Align's pre-assembled kit usually only do half of the job, it is safer if we make sure everything is working good. I read that some of them they found the thrust bearing was not grease, the screw to lock the main blade grip also not loctite. If that's the case it might be flying out during a flight with high spinning speed.

So I advise you to take care of that a little bit lah smile.gif Otherwise a crash because of that you will still need to go through this step again. Hehehehe, don't worry too much about assembly ... there are many peoples here can help.

Wow, building a heli from scratch and for the first time really time consuming. Just finished centering the cyclic servo arm, ESC soldering and setup only.

Qiw, did you glue your pinion on the motor shaft?

The motor shaft has no flat spot for the pinion's set screw to lock, did you file/grind a flat spot?

I am in a dilemma now. Read a lot in heli-freak that the heat of the shaft will weaken the threadlock on the grub screw and some time later the pinion come loose and fly off.

So want to see see how you did that last time. Hmmm, maybe I should consider the R48 green glue with the pinion and shaft, and then threadlock the grub screw.

Spending the whole day and just finished the head setup, servo & motor installation.
Found two issues,
First, the washer for the screw to mount the motor is missing. Cant find the plastic bag contains this washer. So just screw on the mount plate directly.
Second, the elevator servo hole not fit and not align to the main shaft block and body frame hole. So have to cut bigger hole on the servo to mount.
But my opinion is this heli is quite easy to install and setup. Without working too hard i can get everything center and level at mid stick, zero pitch.

No wonder, my work around to the misalign hole is sacrifying my servo tab. Cut off the edge of the hole so that the screw can go through. Never try to fit the servo using force, cos if the servo casing is warp, then very likely that the servo will overload and burn. Hehehe, bob from heli freak says.

Since my walkera rx cant mount in the frame, i think part of the wire will be exposed loh... Hmmm, i think my pro can start testing and maiden next week loh.

And then is that normal if the main gear wobbles? I can see that clearly from the side when the main is rotating.

Hey Calvin, how long it took to reach for the battery you have ordered from hobby king? Let's say start from the day they shipped things out.

Mine was shipped last friday but now I still cant trace from sg speedpost. I have a tracking number ends with SG.

Hehehehhe, cant wait already loh. I mean HK delayed my shipment for at least 5 days already.

Other than battery I also have some other things together because I want to best utilize the shipping charge. One of the thing is the CA glue and I am in need of it to glue the torque tube bearing .....

Battery still OK since I have the old 2250 25C to test .... Also cant wait to see my TIG CF tail blade for my Pro ..... tongue.gif

CA i buy from hardware shop ... rm2.50 only .. hahahaha
buy from HK i think more expensive la tongue.gif
but the 15min and 30min epoxy from HK are very good and really worth it
as well as the 242 medium strength threadlock laa

Do you mean "super glue"? Elephant brand super glue?

Hehehe, first time to get this kind of glue so blur blur loh .... don't know super glue from local hardware shop can use or not ... need to glue the flybar paddle as well and it is made of plastic.
The super glue I got from local hardware shop eats plastic one woh rclxub.gif

Aiya, like that I think you missed one step to assemble your torque tube.

There is a bearing holding your TT in the tail boom and the bearing needs to fix on certain place. Else if the bearing is moving freely inside tail boom then if it is at the center it may create resonance and introduce more vibrations.

Hope to receive my parcel soon because I am impatient now loh ... kekkekekek
Can't wait to maiden my pro already tongue.gif

Hoho, I don't really worry about my hovering skill. All I am worrying is my setup skill to build a heli from scratch, yet to justify tongue.gif

Something like that. But I also worry about the tail drift issue which is commonly found with GP780.

Not much time that I have a good tail holding (rock solid lock!!!) with my current heli. But sometime I do have that kind of holding and really enjoy the flight. Just pray that it does not happen on my 450 Pro ..... hehhehehhe else will definitely get one Align's PU gel adhesive already .......

EMS does go thru poslaju ... maybe nobody home to collect the thing or u are out of coverage area .. hahahahahaaa

my gp750 is rock solid ... i only heard gp780 is more sensitive to vibrations compared to the 750 ... dunno about the drift part
just use 3M double sided for the gyro ... double layer the tape ... should be rock solid ,, no need any gel stuff .. hahahahahaa

Aikkkssssss, I thought you said your 450 Pro has a very very small drift?

Usually my area is under PosLaju coverage and I have done through a few times before from LHS. Just that don't know why this round not via PosLaju. Nvm lah, as long as I got the things then dun care icon_rolleyes.gif

Yes, 750 is better for 450 size... i'm using 780... a little sensitive for my 450 sport.... but gp750 hard to find laaaaaaaaaaa
*
Sensitive to vibration and yours also drift, the tail?
