Hehe, like that when they sell heli must aim already loh. Superb condition.

This gp780 has a feature i like a lot. Maybe other gyro got also lah. When my tail slider is not even on both side of the travel, then you can set separately to make sure each side you can go to full travel. This is really a big advantage to 2801 pro user as the travel adjust in that tx is use to set the travel speed.

I have my 4g6 setup in rate mode but too bad i have one side always not reaching the end. But nothing i can do if i want to setup in rate mode.

Finally finished my 450 pro build. But damn it, blade tracking not done properly. Even at low low spinning speed i can already see the problem. icon_question.gif

Both main blade pitch are identical in low mid and high stick. weight the blade and it is only .2 gram difference. But see it on the blade balancer i can see one is slightly higher, tilt a little little bit. rclxub.gif

Alright, adjusted the long link and maiden this morning.

It's really WYPIWYG. My hardwork to build this heli using 3 weeks pay back 90% of enjoyment to me. It just that if suddenly I hantam the throttle stick from 60% to 80% then the tail will let go a bit and then back to the original point. That means the tail goes to right a little bit and then adjusted back by the gyro I think.

The gyro gain already adjusted to max (until I see wagging) and delay also max. Is that because I am running to high headspeed? My throttle curve is linear from 0 to 100%.

Ohhh, my normal mode max throttle stick is 100 and your only 85. Alright, if tomolo the tail still buang then i will lower the throttle curve already.

At this moment, i have shorten my tail link to give more pitch to counter faster when it is center. Previously it was zero tail pitch when center.

Hehehe, now i have experienced both bcp and trex so i totally agree with you. You get what you pay. Bcp seem heavier and hard to control in the mid air but trex is light and easy to control. Especially this morning after i flown my trex first, then i start to notice already -->aiyer why my 4g6 and bcp like that one .......wahahahahahahahahahahahaha

I think i roughly know what is the difference.
As what i have seen my trex was losing altitude very fast when i reduce throttle. Due to that i have to increase throttle again and to me it is somewhat not so manageable.

Hmmmmm, got to experiment again tomolo ........ Hehehehe

Opppssss, i do think about this esc cut off at the first place but not realize it is not for tropical country like us. I thought the manual suggested so it should be fine.

But anyway if i add a separate bec will it helps to reduce heat in the esc significantly?
I believe the 2A bec in the esc is a bit overload with the electronics. For example i found the esc heat up when i just connect 3 servo during my head setup.

Aiyer, like tat better spend more time to move my esc out.

Hehe, the tail let go issue when whacking throttle solved. It is because i put zero tail pitch when servo arm is center. Now i put some pitch to left to counter act the tail torque and now once i whack, the tail holding quite well and no more let go.

Tapi i have to solve the wagging now, gonna increase my gyro delay later for next experiment.

There are both tongue.gif
I can feel vibration when I spool up to mid stick while holding the heli on the table and my gyro gain I have set to 84. Different Tx gives different "true gain" to the gyro so not so sure 84 is consider high enough?

Tested again with my aging battery and it looks like with some delay my trex is holding the tail well except that sometime I have a small little wag for a very very short moment only.

Trying to balance my tail blade and flybar paddle which I did not do in the first place

Hehehehe, Mr. Calvin what is your GP780 gyro gain set in your 2801 Pro Tx?

Like that ar, I suggest you to go for Align PU gel (K10457A) instead of the foam-metal-foam "sandwich" ...... It is around RM25 for that PU gel, I have heard good comments but never used. Planning to get one if possible.

Foam-metal-foam I have that on my BCP but the result is not so good.

I think Calvin has that double layer of 3M tape setup now to mount his gyro.

Hehehehe, Calvin if possible please update me later what is the result of your foam-metal-foam setup.

What's your pitch curve for throttle hold? Just like the pitch curve in idle up mode like -11/+11?

I get to know this from zhnme that throttle hold on 450 size is quite hard to mastering the skill with the weight of the size. But I think a few inches above the ground should be easier to a beginner like me ... hehehhehe later then only I try lah ...... still familiarizing with my 450 Pro, totally different in the feeling compare to bcp.

Kekekeke since you said bcp is nowhere close to trex 450 already, needless to say more already liao tongue.gif

Kidding lah. Give me some time to summarize ..... working now therefore not so convenient to type so many many things ... later boss saw me doing this not so good lah .....

Just found something with the plastic tail blade on trex.

Mine one came with an imbalance tail blade so actually all the time my gyro is working on a very high frequency vibration frame. Just done some balancing yesterday with a 4G6 main shaft. The hole of the blade fits pretty well with the shaft so after balancing using like the teeter totter method then I manage to reduce the high freq vib and now whenever I touch while spooling up on the desk, it has very little low freq vib.

Have not test the flight yet but I think with the PU gel it will work better than before .... so calvin I think you need to check your tail blade as well .....

Hehehe, I am so tempted to try ......
But I am not really ready for invert hover tongue.gif

Like Finless Bob said - "Not for a new heli", when he test fly his 450 Pro .....

Heheheheh .... no lah ... just maiden last week so consider 1 week old only ..

Gonna sim more first for inverting hover ..... although I have that idle up mode setup in the Tx already ....... but I think i would try the flip first instead of straight to inverting hover ......

Hohoho, already put in the pu gel. Dont know the outcome good or not .....

Hehehe, he might be my BCP potential customer tongue.gif

Added on April 30, 2011, 9:09 amThe pu gel works quite good for me ..... There may be room for improvement with different tightness of the velco strap ..... But so far my tail drift already very eligible.

Hehehehe, did some small figure 8 (around 7 meters from one end to another) to test test. It's damn fun because it is a lot more easier to control and the trex is really damn stable and obedient, when you compare to bcp. tongue.gif but then the flight time is around 5 minutes MAX, oooooooiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii a bit short with 2200 mah lipo. Hoho, my bcp can go up to 8 minutes with the same battery.

So i think i will say bye bye to my bcp once there is buyer
