LMDE is based on Debian Testing, the first day installed it has about 100+ updates, since than no more and it has been about 4 days without updates. Not me asking this as in Mint forum they raised the same questions hmm.gif

thats because currently debian testing is in freeze state, preparing to become next stable release.. if u use unstable repo like me, still got updates everyday.. but if u choose to stick with testing repo, the day of next debian stable is release u will get a bucketload updates from upstream debian testing

no, i dont advise anyone to do that.. i'm just explaining about why lmde with default repo rarely got updates nowadays. and yes its more safe to use its default testing repo compared to me that use unstable repo, always got risk to break my system tongue.gif tongue.gif
