If you root already, go download Froyo ROM for rooted phone by Whiteigeak in XDA forum. Then goto keyboard setting, and select the language you want to use. I enable English and Pinyin.

how if my phone havent rooted...

have you downloaded the sogou input?

after downloaded n install u can go to language & keyboard..


tick the sogou input to be able to use it...

if it's sis set call sis and give ur IMEI number, if its no where in sight, key in *#06# to see

Hey, I have story to share. I bought a 2nd hand legend from shop not from personal seller. When i go to view it, all is fine, the phone is quite mint and looks good (i hope it really is) but the only problem is, they don't have the first purchase receipt. but unlike nothing_nth, i have the warranty card, box, all stuff complete in the box (including guide, warranty statement, etc)

when i ask for it, they said it's fine, i just need the phone and the card for warranty. u know, i'm the kind who always buy new one coz i dunno much bout stuff so i dunno how to check for flaws for real, but after research for so long, i really want legend but there's new one around and the 2nd one is within my budget...and the phone that i'm viewing looks fine, like new and from my basic checking, nothing's wrong with it. but this is my first time with smartphone, so i dunno bout checking stuff like GPS or other software/hardware possible issues.

in the end, i decided to take it. the only thing bothering me is because it didn't come with first purchase receipt. it was holiday hari raya haji, so i cant call sis to ask, the shop keep assuring me it's fine coz if anything i can always come back to them. yea i guess, but well me being jittery and unconfident because u know 1 and 1/2 years is a long time...anything can happen.

so i call sis the next day and they say i need to have the original receipt and also (like buying car or bike) i need to transfer ownership in which i must write letter saying that I'm now the owner and have to give the details of the 1st buyer like name, address and IC I know the transfer of ownership is like quite impossible right? and i also had claimed warranty from nokia and SE before and i know they dont really check on those, but I'm sure that everytime the receipt is needed.

so i told the shop that i need the receipt, but unfortunately they really don't have it.i went to the shop again to discuss bout it, but then what to do, they really dont have the ori receipt. i told them, shop must have a record and copy of receipt, u can have copy from there. (coz "supposedly" this legend is traded in by their regular) but they say this was sold during roadshow, so in roadshow they dont do that coz no time so in the end i really can't get the ori receipt. however, to make me happy, that shop boy give me like a new one he wrote again like the same as the first one... i go there kononnya if i cant get the receipt want to return the phone and get my money back, but i'm not good at negotiating, so in the end i go back just like that

however, it's sis set and i checked the IMEI in htc site. and sis also confirm to me that the phone have until 2012 for the warranty. the shop boys tell me not to worry coz the transfer of ownership and stuff coz its only system, in reality people dont do that. I hope so...but i really think the receipt is important. what do you guys think?

haihh, I hope i can have care-free attitude like nothing_nth too like no worry and crossfinger hope nothing happen to the legend . So i really hope that too! and Lucasss said it's a good build phone and really nothing will happen to it! hopefully!!

anyway, now i'm official user of HTC Legend (after 3 days of keeping it in the box because of that receipt issue) ...lol

and i wanna ask, coz some user here reccomenD Alumor Capdase. will there be issue with the signal and wifi with the metal casing coz legend antenna is at the bottom rubber and it was said in the manual that for best performance, our hand shouldnt cover the rubber so can get optimum signal. so the metal, did it interfere with the signal.

omg, too long a story, please dont get bored at reading it...

The receipt doesn't really matter that much. As long as the sticker inside the phone is intact and you have the warranty card, you're fine.

dont worry so much...
mine was without a receipt and also 2nd hand set...
i went to sis n just tell them i lost my receipt...
actually they got the date ur phone is sent out to shops...
so ur warranty will be from that date onwards if you got no receipt...
it's just that simple... just tell them u lost ur receipt...
mine got a change of motherboard and all 4 buttons without a receipt...]

p/s: and yeah.. at least ur sticker SIS sticker still there like Lucassss says...

Anyone got a2sd work on cyanogen Mod 6.1??? I'm trying to do darktremor a2sd on it..but when trying to mkdir system/sd on it..

it says "mkdir failed /system/sd, out of memory.."

Does signal boosters work? I noticed the WiFi on my Legend always disconnect. My blackberry's WiFi pawns it upside down.

Try going to Skype website.

same. i go to skype.com/m and click on the download link.

nahhh it's ok. just try every options, i'm also googling.

read in skype forum and few other forum, many people with the same problem.

probably regional, malaysia and few other countries coz one person from malaysia said when he go to thailand and using thai 3g, he can get the download file and installed it and it works fine...
