Nah...He's trying to get rid of his stocks as Plasma is going to die soon. The longer he waits, the harder it is to sell.

This is great news because that way, I can get hold of a 65" dirt cheap. But that's only a dream and not likely to happen anytime soon.

Not that long...Harvey Norman Warehouse Sale recently had a 42" Plasma for 1K+. But for 65" maybe Harvey Norman's staff will take first. sweat.gif

Apex,

It's harmless lah. This is the intarweb, so we all have to expect there are douches everywhere. Not that I'm saying Jalsrix is a douche but what I'm saying is that I don't really pay much attention to all teh negativity. That is why I only commented positively and constructively.

What I understand is, lots of people here, like pokemon, and Jals, have this love-hate relationship with Astro. They love it so much and yet they also hate Astro. Kinda like my neighbour back in my Kampung, Pakcik Muthu and Makcik Selvi. Every morning at 6AM, can here he and his wife shouting at each other ever since they moved in when I was about 10-yr old.

This is not a love-hate relationship with Astro. We as customers are paying to the high fees imposed by Astro. In a way, we pay on time and reponsible on our part. Astro should provide the service level for their part. Astro never compromise when their customers default on the payment and yet Astro always default in providing the service level.

Probably you prefer Astro to do business like makcik and pakcik style.

I prefer a more intelligent group of consumers in Malaysia. This is not Astro's problem. The problem is we the consumers. We are the one letting these companies do this to us. Take a look not only at Astro, what about Streamyx, TM, and the likes. These are all companies where everybody complains almost everyday. But at the end of the year, these are the companies whom profits are still great.

Just like my neighbour, they shout at each other everyday, loathes each other, but still manages to live more than 20 years together and raise 8 kids! Why?

For me I vote with my RM. coz only then will they realise that we mean business. If you feel that your money is not worth the service level that they are giving, then stop giving them money. What I don't understand is, you know this one Mamak stall sells Nasi Kandaq that tastes like shit, but you still go there everyday and eat that shit and complains almost ever day! Not really bright isn't it?

You guys will probably say "bu bu but there is only one Mamak Stall (i.e. one Astro, satellite TV provider) around so you have no choice". If that is the case, then I feel sorry for you. I feel very sorry as you are a generation of people so easily controlled by big corporation where entertainment is something you can't live without. To you it's a need rather than a want.

Anyway, I don't want to argue/debate too much as there is a saying on the intarweb that goes "On the intarweb, if you win an argument you are still a retard"

p/s: I'm sure I'm gonna have everyone jump in arms and complains/argues some more....personallyI don't really care since that is what Malaysians do...they complain and they argue. What I'm doing here is just to help fellow forummers since I have a way to help. I just want everyone to enjoy HD as good things becomes great if we share!

That is enough for me. already busted my quota of LYN posting for the whole month!

We as Malaysians are being severely screwed up by those monopolised companies. Who granted them the exclusive license to operate in pay satellite tv? Same goes to highway operators with guaranteed profits for them. If our cable/satellite tv industry is open, then we can see the savior. Astro did not make it in Indonesia and lost million of ringgit is a very good example. Astro can't make money with their retarded mentality in doing business in a fair manner.

To charge your handphone that supports usb charging and to power the usb laptop fan to cool the decoder. Other than that, to record tv shows using b.yond compatible external hard disk.

Wow. You are so confidence that there'll be a savior if Astro don't have the exclusive right. I bet you can afford to start a satellite pay tv company then.

What about Astro in India? Does it same like what happened in Indonesia?

Be positive. No need to condemned everything. Yeah we know already Astro is a monopolised company. No need to keep on saying that.

I also pay to Astro. I actually didn't satisfy with the high monthly fee I have to pay them. But, what to do. No point of complaining. Be grateful for what we have. And I believe they will improve their service in the future. What kind of people who don't want their company to be the best. It's better than nothing. They never force you to subscribe. If you don't like it, just terminate it. Download those bluray rip movies and watch them on your tv. Then, you'll be satisfy. Or you start your own company and see how it goes. I'll make sure I'm the first one to subscribe to see if it's better than Astro.
