Agree 100% !

Lapaq wouldn't be saying like that if Starhub TV from Singapore is given a license to operate in Msia to compete with Astro.

Anyone want to bet that 'Ass throw' is going to go bankrupt if Starhub comes in ?  brows.gif

Fox crime is available in indonesia, vietnam, philipines, india, thailand but NOT malaysia ?  doh.gif  Astro failed !

The root of the problem is, it is owned by khazanah Nasional the investing arm of the goverment as such no competitors wld be allowed, thats why so many talk want to come but nobody came!! Mallayysia is so big and I dont see why we dont hv a single cable operator here ?Perhaps its the aftermath of exclusive licensing. whistling.gif

These government linked companies enjoy so much unfair advantages and size and bully everyone else that it becomes a quasi monopoly. There should be a law against this like what they have in developed countries. One reason why we are still undeveloped.

Well you win some you lose some. Kasi can la to that Installer. Maybe nak balik kampung for the CNY. Although, at the very least he could've informed Astro during the assignment of installation cases.

Anyway,
Do tell me if second installer also balik kampung  tongue.gif
*
Well bro, the first installer is the older brother of the second installer. The first installer should have told Astro upfront and push the job to his bro as he can't do it. mad.gif

And now, the second installer also didn't come this morning to do the installation giving reason that Astro has yet to give them the installation form. I am really speachless. Looks like I am being played around by Astro and their installer. vmad.gif

This is getting out of hand. Not sure why it's so difficult this time. I've sent this to Astro to settle. We'll see what they will say.

Well, I've helped you as much as I can but certain things are really out of my hands but I've not given up. My reputation as President of Astro CS in LYN is at stake here! tongue.gif Anyway, will definitely give the feedback to Astro about this errant Installer.

I suspect those Assthrow installers are linked and cronies of somebody. These group of little napolean is part of the cause why the customers are suffering.

Talking about Astro, you do not realize how lousy is her Standard Definition picture quality until you have seen the same SD from Free to Air satellite that's common in East Malaysia. E.M may have lousy road but for once, she has something better than West Malaysian. I think they called that poetic justice.

Just got my Astro Max replacement for Astro Byong PVR ...

First impression, 300 hours, very fast response, hv output options for RCA, Component and HDMI ( HDMI was disabled for non-HD subscribers )

The remote can be program to on/off my LG tv and also change input source.. cannot control volume level

Can record 2 channels at the same time IF you are not watching another channel ( good for time when you are not watching the tv )...

Can record linked series automatically, good for chinese series , BAD for AXN weekly series like Amazing Race.

BAD stuff....

- NO automatic weekly recording schedule
- NO way to DELETE recording after watching
- very CONFUSING interface, multiple steps to watch a recoding
- Whoever designed the user interface definitely NOT a AstroMax user or ever used a PVR before!!!!

Any idea how to fix this ?

Channel 338 is now already available.

BUT I am using Byond with Plasma HDTV and it seems that 338 is not like an HD channel at all.

Are you sure the daily recording schedule is working ?

You can delete recording by pressing red button.

What do you expect from a monopolised company like astro ? The interface is confusing and the remote control bulky and very unfriendly.

Yeah...believe what ever you want to believe. Apparently if one is not vehemently complaining and b****ing about Astro is working with Astro. I'm fine with whatever you are thinking. It just shows how true what I've been saying in teh past pew pages of this thread. whistling.gif

- NO automatic weekly recording schedule yeah I hated this as well. maybe if there are demands they would add this functionality
- NO way to DELETE recording after watching I dont miss this feature as I never delete anything. If HDD full, it will auto delete
- very CONFUSING interface, multiple steps to watch a recoding lettle known shortcut, press play button and you'll be taken away straight to your planner
- Whoever designed the user interface definitely NOT a AstroMax user or ever used a PVR before!!!! i hated the MAX, so not sure what to say
