SEA, your python method removed many apps..including my apmefo..so i have to download back apmefo from fapman. but it require me to install back python2.5-4Q..something.. meaning i;m upgrading my python back not? I guess I really need to get back on my books, the OTG thingy really distract me too much. EXAM! This post has been edited by ShrugsLova: Nov 16 2010, 07:11 AM |

@jananan: At least nyou guys have full python. The N810 doesn't have python-numpy ported for it and so I can't run the latest version of Endgame: Singularity which is pissing me off big time.
Endgame: Singularity is a great AI sim game BTW. |

seems like a lot of the Nokia N8s are failing.
i wonder why. nokia had a lot of time to perfect the Nokia N8 but.... seems to be overheating issue or mobo quality issue. |

Maybe cause of the processor? or power management? |

You wrote a script Modified the sudoers files And you execute the script Through a widget By using QBW? am i right? lol Expert.. fuh Me,Eiraku & meLi all agreed QBW is too much pain to configure & creating .desktop aka menu/desktop shortcut is much easier. The idea may started from me but without Eiraku & meLi I wouldn't have made it. I only hit the jackpot when I tried meLi's busybox method. Update on the OTG.Updated to h-e-n v0.2.8 this morning. Now FAT32 mounting working perfectly with the app itself. But in order to mount NTFS drives it'll be better to use my desktop shortcut method. So far every NTFS drives I've thrown at my N900 have been detected & read properly. If everything goes well & other experienced users agrees,I'll post the OTG guide tonight. It may not work like OTG in N8 but it'll work fine & reliable. QUOTE(jananan @ Nov 16 2010, 12:19 PM) seems like a lot of the Nokia N8s are failing. My thought is this:Nokia should have give away plenty of N8 like they did with N900 during the Maemo Conference. With this way other average/power users can test the device & report back to Nokia about the problems.i wonder why. nokia had a lot of time to perfect the Nokia N8 but.... seems to be overheating issue or mobo quality issue. Initial N900 has some issues such as filmsy microUSB port, unmatured OS etc2.But after all the feedbacks several problems was fixed with the production model. This is not the time for Nokia to keep their product as secret. In order to show users that Nokia listen to them & the product is reliable,Nokia must let users test the product before heading to production line. I found the 5-6% failure rate of N8(in LYN alone) as rather unacceptable compared to N900 which have around 2-3% failure rate(in LYN alone) Not to mention there are more N900 users compared to N8. |

N8 becomes cheaper... like RM1200 - RM1300 due to popular demand. 5-6% failure in those numbers are sure to attract some attention. unless the more newer production models, a.k.a second batch quality is improved. but nokia is known to relaunch some 'fixed' products as new products... we have witnessed that first hand more than once... |
