Depends the paradox, how many zones and sensors are 3rd party?

SP6000, K32LCD+ x2, DG75 is the pet immune sensor for the roof and IP150 internet module... the 20 sensors... not mentioned if its Paradox or not. I haven't asked more detail cause haven't confirmed who to engage yet laugh.gif

If go for a smart home solution, the price is probably less than RM1.2K, smart home solution such as Aqara/Xiaomi is wireless, IoT technology, better app to mange house security, able to integrate to voice control such as Alexa, Google Home.
*
A bit skeptical for wireless system, used the Sharp SmartHome before... well not reliable... those 433MHz some of the doors got issues la. So with the wiring for sure go with wired solution... Plus Paradox so far usage pretty reliable... the swan server also so far no problem before.

The Sharp SmartHome I used, forever disconnect and all. I guess the newer tech with zigbee system will be much more reliable.

most of the security devices for Aqara/Xiaomi smart home are using zigbee wireless, I've been using xiaomi zigbee for 4 years, it is pretty stable and reliable. uptime is 99.99% for last year at least.

my 10 years old paradox is now acted as backup security devices

I would think the Zigbee would work better than the usual 433MHz... Mine like the kitchen back door, open close sometimes the central unit don't detect.

I'll check out the Aqara offerings, probably can replace the Sharp SmartHome at parent's place.

As a current user of aqara n xiaomi, I don't recommend this for security or serious home automation.

Hi,
My home come with basic wired paradox and planning to add RTX3 and DCT10 like you.  Also i planned to make it into Wifi connectable.
So far any issue with RTX3 and DCT10? How much is swan server suscription?
*
RTX3, and DCT10 these are wireless receiver for sendor. Nothing to to with internet connection. Internet connection you need another model. the internet module should be IP150, think now have two version one that need subscription another you do not need too and more expensive.

Hi Guys,

I'm currently looking to install new alarm system for my new house(landed). There are 3 alarm companies came into my survey list - Vivos/Secolink/Bluguard.

Has anyone experienced any of them?
Can share which system is the most reliable?
Or any other recommended brand?

Your feedback or review will be much appreciate ! TQVM!

Hi all,
My home came with Paradox Alarm. And recently i extended my kitchen and will be adding 2 windows and 1 door. I am thinking to add on paradox wired sensors to this 3 new door/windows. I was quoted RM480 for looping 1 point on my current door to this new 3 points. Is this price reasonable?

150 per point for conceal wiring should be ok.

Thanks. Even looping is considered reasonable? 3 points loop into one input.

Is difficult to charge for small job.

Few months back I was charge 250 labour for changing my paradox main module. Module cost 650.

At first I thought is expensive but the guy spend 4 hours to fix, re-program and test the entire system.

Hi guys. I currently have a place where they already have the alarm magnetic sensor fixed and wiring all done and centralized. Just missing an alarm main device that controls them all.

Can anyone briefly explain what i should do moving forward if i want to utilize the current alarm wirings.

Hi all just want to ask,

MY alarm was connected to MY copper Phone line all the while for it to call to MY mobile when triggered

Recently TM migrated my copper Phone number to UniFi Phone number. My alarm calling feature doesnt Work anymore as the phone is now connected to TM''s modem instead of the Copper Line Port from outside

Are there any New alarm System that can be connected to UniFi so the call function can Work again?
