I will do my minor renovation to my new house. And i want to get your suggestion on electrical wiring wiring and cctv/data cabling.

What i have read is someone advice not to have electrical wiring and cctv/data cabling in one same conduit. OK  biggrin.gif

But can i have one conduit for electrical wiring and another conduit for cctv/data cabling in same 'longkang' at my wall? Both conduit will be in my wall plaster.

Hi Bro...Yes, I think 2 separate PVC conduit is fine...

Hey bro...sorry I read wrongly...I tot you were referring to separate Conduit for CCTV and Alarm..only

As for CCTV/Alarm, vs Electrical wiring...it is advisable to be on a different path..sorry for the wrong info...by right CCTV or Alarm cabling will be on a different path and electrical wiring...thats the standard..

oopss...

In simple words. Data cable (Alarm/CCTV) can't be in same path with electrical wiring.

Is it correct?

Yea...as far as i know..recommended NOT to.

Change police force also useless....need the police head who can and dare to make the changes...its not easy for him to change all the police attitude...so many of them...but he must cos he is the leader...again..this is only what we can "hope"

You see the police..during duty, play with handphone la..smoking la...cannot even stand properly....chit chatting la...sighz..

Does anyone heard of this brand 'KMAX' before? Hopefully someone can provide some info. Thanks

Hi , I m on KMAX. So far so good. It comes with those standard call in if ur alarm goes off

By the way, according to my installer, most of the alarms, the difference is only the keypads, the sensors are all almost the same , u just need to ensure the below :

1) WIring - very important, china wires tend to give a lot of false alarms. Do a wiring test to ensure you don't get cheap china wires. He did this and showed me the trick,

- Cut a small piece of the alarm wiring, remove the rubber and try burning the copper. Cheap wires will melt and drop immediately. Expensive / good wires will melt but will not drop of.

-------------------------
by the way, my KMAX comes with 2 Keypads, 1 x Outdoor siren and 1 x Indoor Siren, 2 x motion sensor , 1 x Smoke Detector...and those standard magnetic sensors and vibration sensors

Glad to hear that, there is not much info i can find on google so i was a bit worried. Do you mind to tell me how much you paid for yours?

My setup will be a bit different where i don't have any vibration sensors, and i will need 30x magnetic sensors... The rest will be standard, 2x keypads, 1x outdoor siren, 1x indoor siren, 2x motion sensor, not sure about smoke detector..and i might add another emergency panic button. All will be concealed, wired.

Hmm..I m sorry i can really reveal the price cos I got very good price from him (he was recommended by my colleague),,it is best you contact him directly and discuss...pm me if u want his contact ya..cheers!

winson do only ONE TIME business... he bring alot troublesome for me. rclxub.gif

hopefully my autogate installed by him wont get any problem since he wont come repair although within warranty period.

Initially, I did consider and confirmed with Winson:

1) DCMotor 725 sliding
2) Paradox Alarm

When it came to arrangement for wiring installation (to conceal all during my renovation), that is when I had some problems contacting him.
even my sms were not replied. So i had to find another alternative and eventually, I got another Alarm which is KMAX and Autogate E8 both from different fellas who were more responsive.

This is just my experience.

Hi all just want to ask,

MY alarm was connected to MY copper Phone line all the while for it to call to MY mobile when triggered

Recently TM migrated my copper Phone number to UniFi Phone number. My alarm calling feature doesnt Work anymore as the phone is now connected to TM''s modem instead of the Copper Line Port from outside

Are there any New alarm System that can be connected to UniFi so the call function can Work again?
