Anyone thought of putting a fake ADT logo/decal? Read their website, first layer of protection is the adt decal as it shows u r protected. tongue.gif

Another layer is monitoring and alarm. Just use eufycam or arlo pro or ultra.

Your other layer is metal grills.
*
Now days those decal are useless.
Guard dog are more efficient then those decal for non-musilm owner but Primary security must come first.

Primary Security - Burglary Alarm System / Parameters Security System( Electrical Fencing / PIDS)
Secondary Security - CCTV / Door Access / Autogate

Any local authorized dealer?

If looking for Wireless system can try AJAX security system. No subscription as well. Product from Ukraine and running on AMAZON cloud server.

Thanks! JCheng is the other system i saw that is wireless and comes with app without subscription, but it seems these are poorer made so more false positives, or overly sensitive or does not work all the time, any one have these experiences?

Anyone knows which alarm system is available in Malaysia that can be integrated with smart home usage?

The door/windows sensors are good candidates for smart home automation.
Their usefulness is definitely more than merely for Alarm purpose only.

I was eyeing for Abode, SimpliSafe or iSmartAlarm but they are not available to purchase in Malaysia.
Any idea?

LifeSmart is great for standard users who wants less hassle for integrating alarm system into smart home.
Probably with good support too.
But they are not budget friendly... far from it.
Vendorlock-in also prohibits lots of possibility.

I have decided to build the alarm system by myself with my existing smart home system.

Added rtx3, and dct10 into my paradox. Been having random trigger from one zone so i convert into wireless .

If you use babyware software configuration will be simple. Rtx3 auto detect after putting into SP board and reboot.

I have a Paradox Spectra 1738EX alarm system installed more than 10 years ago. Lately, the backup battery (12V7AH) has died.

I plan to replace it myself. Any idea where I can purchase the replacement battery? Will any brands compatible with the system?

Thanks.

I was quoted about RM2.5k for Paradox + the internet module, 20 points sensor, 2 keypads and 1 pet immune sensor for the roof. Melaka area too.

If go for a smart home solution, the price is probably less than RM1.2K, smart home solution such as Aqara/Xiaomi is wireless, IoT technology, better app to mange house security, able to integrate to voice control such as Alexa, Google Home.
