So sad the GT780DXR 3GB will not come to Malaysia yet.
Ya, true. You gotta wait for it until they decided to bring it in. Anwyway, the 3GB version won't a big deal unless you plan for 3D and playing on a bigger screen. If you're just playing on the laptop, there won't be a performance improvement, at least not obvious

So, going for the 1.5GB GTX570m would be fine

I dont think it ever will
Already so many months since DX came out
I think i will wait for original manufacturer GTX 580 or 6990
I dont want buy from reseller
Later fake
I think it might, 3GB might become a standard soon. Thanks to ASUS G74SX that released the GTX560m with 3GB GDDR5 192bit, the trend of releasing higher memory GPU might become a norm 1 day.
Yes, it is true that the DX came out for quite some time already since August in US but it still doesn't mean that the DX that is available in Malaysia now is outdated. Look at the specs, it's the same as many other standard models in US too.
You're waiting for a DX with either the GTX580m of aTI 6990m? Actually, there was a French who tried installing his DX with the GTX580m, it was successful.
However, after hours of playing, voltage of the 580M is unstable and temps are between 85 and 99°C. He then installed the GTX570m back.
Y the GTX580m anyway, is the GTX570m not good enough for you?
There's no plans or announcement from MSI that they will be releasing such a high end GPU in their laptops. So far only the GTX570m which was currently upgraded to the GTX570m 3GB. If there really was a plan to release a GTX580m, imagine how long you will need to wait.
Not only that, imagine the cost of the laptop. I'd say it might cost RM7000-8500 in Malaysia, omg..
By that time, the 600 series might be on it's way already. Entry level 600 series Nvidia GPUs are to be released next year, there were appearance of them in beta drivers, haha.

Very true. I think given a choice, I would've bought mine here instead but it wasn't available then. I think the specs that Sanko presented and the specs are pretty good. Just minus SSD which is acceptable. Furthermore, the prices offered is very affordable. Conversion rates vary so it might be cheaper today but slightly higher priced tomorrow as we are buying it in foreign currency and it makes a difference when paying for shipment as well.
Agree with ya
The warranty is a favor to us since it will be 1 year global and 1 year local.
For those who bought overseas, they can only get the 1 year global warranty because the local warranty would require the laptop to be sent back to US for service, that's quite a trouble.
Ya, without the SSD is more affordable, not everyone wants a SSD yet. Bout conversion rate, it was 2.9 back in July or June and now it's 3.10++
